SC getting the bad news out the way before the fun stuff that comes with the th11, new troops, new spells, new levels of everything.
If they really want to improve how we attack they would reduce the time it takes to make strong enough armies to properly attack bases.
it's official now. Supercell wants to control how EVERYONE is playing. they had a vision of a game in mind, but people played it differently from what they intended. Now they remove everything that makes it possible to play in a different way than sc wants.
free shields? nope, th doesnt give a shield anymore.
putting your th outside? nope, better make it hold a bunch of loot now, so everyone has to put it inside.
farming in low leagues? nope, we want everyone to push, so we make the shield mechanic ♥♥♥♥ty, give high loot bonus for high leagues. But wait, just barching for 1 star is still possible? better make the loot bonus dependant on the destruction.
farming in sessions? nope, we kick you off every 6h. and if you dont hold loot, so nobody attacks you, better kick you off every 15 mins for 6 mins, so you can pause for about 45mins before farming again.
Basically, Sc only supports the playstyle of trophy pushers that attack with strong, expensive armies and doesnt want to see anything else in matchmaking.
Holding loot without constantly attacking will be impossible for everyone below th10/11, because you just cant defend 4 storages of each, de storage AND th.
And then there is this cheap money grabbing concept of village guard, that makes you want to buy one for 10gems each day. doesnt sound like much, but it adds up quickly.
I'm seriously annoyed by most of these changes. I hope there comes ANYTHING decent in this update, or this will be a terrible flop for me.
I know most of you will say that I shouldnt judge so early and wait until the update is released, but I dont see a way where these changes would turn out in a positive way for me. So, from what i've read so far, this update will be terrible.
Of course, since i am a war enthusiast, I have to make the obligatory comment, that there is nothing announced for clan wars yet, the only things that might change war a little bit would be a de troop at th10 and th11 itself. But, since i'm th9 on my war account (ofc because of the terrible experience at th10), this wont even affect me.

I'm afraid you're forgetting the removal of the single biggest revenue stream in the clash economy; sniping. A moderator used the example of 500,000 attacks in Crystal 1 netting an extra 10m DE due to the league bonus "increase" (assuming of course they all reach a significant % of destruction). But those same number of snipes are currently netting 150,000,000 brand new DE.
And that extra DE doesn't cost any DE to produce, since the TH are outside and accessible. The potential extra 10m (night as well say the potential -140m) is going to cost a significant amount of DE in most cases to reach.
Any way you since this, there will be less new loot in the economy. I'm just glad I'll be 40/40 before it drops.

Also consider when we are defending against these full on attacks, waiting for our 2 hr armies to train wondering whether or not we will need a personal break - defending against full on attacks aint cheap - traps cost gold to refresh, x bows cost elixir to fill, infernos cost de to fill ...... if you are expecting to be hit 3 or 4 times a day thats going to get expensive !!
