Swimmer can we get back to suggestions related to this idea, rather than saying its a bad idea. I have had 1 suggestion saying you could send the boats back of its not the troops you want. Please be constructive rather than destructive.

Any other suggestions?

I saw it but didnt quite understand it, did you mean that you put troops in your cc before hand in another section and donate them? Or what?

A reserve in your CC that holds four times it's capacity, for example. You can still only use its current capacity (25) for raids or defense, but there will be another 75 troops there for use once the first 25 have been used. They will remain in reserve for 24 hours, again, for example, after which, they are lost, and wether you can choose which troops to place next or if they have to be placed in the order that they were given is up for debate. Reserve troops have to be placed, they do not automatically move into the castles once a space opens.
To add to this, your full compliment of troops (100) will have to be used or lost before you can request again, unless you gem to open the reserve space again.

Im sorry but how is this related, other than the clan troops. My idea was using troops that wont make me retrain my army and yours is about backups in the clan castle all i see from this is having to donate more.

I think what he means is you can donate tons in one go,
so that you don't have to affect your training queue every single time you want to donate.

And re-queueing is a mess.
I have to un-queue the current troops and then train the ones I want.
e.g. Donating 6 giants, barracks has a queue of 70 archers, I have to un-queue all 70 and then train giants and then queue archers.
This can be solved if we can simply adjust the training order.

But the op's idea has another benefit:
if there are troops in the beach, we can still donate to others when we are offline.
This is even more useful if you have some members on the other side of the planet.

Something like that GonGon. Maybe being able to donate twice the number allowed now as well as having more time to que the requested troops. This will help the issue for semi active clans too.

Oh now I see donating less regularly means you don't have to donate all the time and another upside for that is you could fit more than one drag or pekka if someone is donating a ton of them! Except wont people need more than 5 troops max to fill up 100 spots quickly cuz some clans struggle to fill up 20

Yes, anything goes. Limiting the amount a player can donate should be a must. If there is a player who is simply trying to boost their donation count by filling 100 spaces, he would become an issue for other donators. The idea of not being able to request again until your capacity has been depleted can always be tweaked, maybe after half or your original capacity, or after the first 25.

Donating more than the five should be augmented to possibly twice that. That way one player can still fill half of the full compliment with the right troops. One player shouldn't be able to completely fill the full 100 spaces though.
