Trophy pushing without losing DE

Hey guys

I never cared much for trophies until I realized it was the only way for me to be able to save up de fast. So ive been upgrading my dark troops in the last month or so. Problem is I can't get past Crystal 3 for long. I can push to masters even and three days later if I dont go on a th snipping frenzy (which is almost impossible on those leagues, sadly) I always end up in Crystal 3. Now- I know what youre thinking, But No- My base is freaking awesome, defense is almost maxed up to my level. What I do is I'm a decoy farmer. Used to work in lower leagues but it seems like those teslas and xbows don't really impress anyone these days. And if I use my war layout then yes- I wake up and realized ive gained a crazy amount of trohpies but also lost a tragic amount of de. One night I lost more than 1 milion gold and elixir and a good few thousands of de. If I drop to gold or silver im unbeatable by most players there but de is nowhere to be found. catch 22. What can I possibly do?

Ok.... My best advise is to stop the TH trapping! For the love of GOD.. STOP it..
If i encounter a trapper.. I drop 1 archer and take the base from the other sita... (If there is loot)
If you not trap, 98% of the time players will just snipe your th and leave with the bonus...

Ohh... And switch out the storages from your center, with your royals.. They do you no good out there on the edge.

Again.. trophies dont mean S***.... dont trap your TH, and put those needed teslas in the core.

Don't trap your TH. Simple.


I have my TH out, no traps, and 95% or more of my defences are TH snipes.

I am a TH9, currently in Masters 2, and have been solidly sat in Masters for a couple of months now, only losing any DE about 1 in 20 raids. BTW, I don't find it anywhere near impossible to find TH snipes here either. I average at least 2-3 snipes per full raid, and if I work at looking for them while my army is brewing, will usually get 4-5.

Trapping can work in lower leagues, because not many of the people hitting you there will be maxed TH9s or TH10s coming will full core hitting armies. In the higher kleagues, most of them will be, and if you trap, they will hit you for all you've got if it is worthwhile.

Lots of townhall trap hate here lol.

Trapping your townhall will get you to M3 with very little problems.

After that, you will start to get hit more often.

Best way to push up would be with your townhall inside whilst holding very low loot.

As a maxed TH9 I run two bases.
Firstly, a 'Protect your DE' farming base, with your Tesla's inside the base, doing what they are supposed to do - protecting your DE. TH is on the outside, with no traps.

Secondly, after I have started a new Hero upgrade (therefore low DE) I revert to a Trophy base with the TH Central - this usually gains lots of trophies.

Once DE has returned to circa 20/25k (!!?!) return back to the Farming base.

Put your tesla inside in the second layer.
Yes you will lose some trophy from sniping..but you will get it back easily.

If you put your tesla near townhall or trap it..most ppl will get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ off and do a full raid on you.

Btw spread up your storages a bit..i can see an easy path to take your storages from the north.
