A leader only, can permanently opt specific members in or out UNTIL those specific players log in and re update their opt in/out status. I can see this being a benefit to the clan when you have a good member who suddenly doesn't atk in one war... the leader can opt them out of all future wars until either the leader changer l changes their mind or the player updates their status. This way the leader can be proactive in knowing who all in their clan is active or not. This solution solves the problem presented that "players should have control over their own status". The way I see it, it's like the leader is saying "Hey I wanna keep you but for whatever reason I don't think you're active so instead of kicking you I decided to opt you out and if you check in you can update your status back any time you want".
