Shields during maintenance

I just lost over 400,000 becouse I was warring when you started maintenance, so I stayed on my base so it wouldn't go off and decided to look at troops I could upgrade then it kicked me off when I tryed to close that little window to look at my base again, after 45 minutes of maintenance I was attacked at no fault of my own. Need to fix it were we get a small shield during and after maintenance for active gamers would only need to be like a 5 minute shield so we can have a little window time to get back on our base after you do maintenance so we are not attacked....

Everyone gets a short “shield” when attacking is disabled for a few minutes before and after maintenance. The post-maint time period would need to be much longer to have a real impact and that would just be a disadvantage to people in the middle of a session (the break is annoying enough).

I can’t be certain but I think the maint break was longer than 45 mins. There have been recent maint breaks that were shorter than advertised. No temporary shield is going to help if you don’t use the indicated time as a suggestion only and try accessing the game every so often. In some instances the suggested times are even updated to reflect actual not anticipated progress.

Mods have posted in other threads, reminding us that times given on maint messages are estimates only.

We have a few minutes after maintenance in which attacking is disabled. If you add a shield, then the next complaint will be "I can't find any bases after maintenance" since they are all shielded.
