    Post Floating Isles

    Description:
The Floating Isle would be able to move a target area into the sky. It would cost more money and time per tile of land you raise.

    Why:
We can have flying units, but we cannot have flying buildings! Flying buildings would literally add that extra layer to towns and bases.

    Details:
    • Two types
      • Levitation Crystal - lifts the land into the air, occupies the space on the ground that the isle takes up in the sky, destruction of the crystal makes the isle fall, dealing 50% dmg to all buildings on the isle and moving the buildings to the ground. This change lasts until another Levitation Crystal is used on the area.
      • Duplication Matrix - duplicates the land and places it into the air above the original land, leaves the ground space open, but costs significantly more and is more fragile. The Matrix itself hovers just above the center of the land the isle came from. Mortars under the Matrix's isle operate at half damage and range, and mortars around it cannot target units under the isle.

    • Full Construction Freedom (some exceptions)
      • Floating Isles count as land in the sky. You can build on top of them. But to do so you need a Builder's Hut stationed on them. You may move structures onto the isle you have already constructed, but to do so costs you 15 elixir per tile the structure occupies.
      • Structures on Floating Isles can only be targeted by units able to attack other flying units.
      • Structures on Floating Isles can target flying units. They also have double range when attacking ground troops.

    • Limitations/Bonuses
      • You cannot place the following on a Isle, unless mentioned here otherwise:
        • Army Camp
        • Clan Castle
        • Town Hall
        • Barracks
        • Dark Elixir Drills, Gold Mines, Elixir Collectors
        • Inferno Towers
        • Mortars (Can be placed on an Isle, but can only hit air troops)
        • Anti-Air defenses
        • Barbarian King
        • Duplication Matrix
        • Levitation Crystal

      • The following buildings/heroes have increased range (2x unless stated otherwise)
        • Archer Queen
        • Cannon
        • Archer Tower
        • Mortars
        • Wizard Towers (1.5x range; .5x damage)

      • The following buildings have increased production rates
        • Spell Factory
        • Laboratory
        • Builders Huts (9/10ths production time on all structures on the same Isle)

Nice idea, might change the game forever though!

I think this would be pretty interesting and might destroy ground attacks forever.

Don't think they'd add this, just because of how overpowered it would be. Nice idea, keep up the good work!

    Thanks!

Why would it be so overpowered? I mentioned it without a cost, but I'd imagine it would only be effective and useful or even obtainable after about th8. Flyers could attack anything on these isles. Though I get it, maybe I should bring this back to earth a bit and get my head out of the clouds.

What is the limit to number of isles available? Too many isles will be OP... Just a few will be great for the game.

There is no limit and they can be any size. But they are prohibitively expensive and next to impossible to use well until TH10, in which it's still freaking expensive to get.

    But good question.

    Exclamation Updates!

I added a poll. Please check it out and vote fairly. Few should choose the first option. If your response goes beyond a poll response, please leave a post!
