Gold is usually used for defences, elixir has already got another version (DE) so gold needs another.

It could open opportunities to new defences and could be just like DE

I already struggle to protect DE, gold, and elixir. Adding more storages is not what the game needs.

Well, no this is not needed for the game, but who knows? Maybe there will be a new resource when TH11 comes out.
