Well, it's a sentiment that OneHive promotes, I just happen to agree with it. I'd be curious about your results if you did your exact same strat, except lose the giants. I bet you'll have just as much success, but I'd be interested if you could point to some examples where it failed, but otherwise would have worked with giants as distract.

I will make surely do some fail attacks as I get them. As of now the strategy had been working quite well for me. I will also do some fail and clean videos here to help. I have a few fail and clean videos waiting to be done right now. Thank you again for the input and always good luck out there. There's a large difference between "haters" and people like lunaticfringe and myself who see inefficiencies on strategies that work on not maxed based and know there are safer ways to take on maxed TH8s, because this strategy doesn't understand the concept of minimizing dps in while maximizing dps out (thus the fallacious claims that more hogs attacking at once under no heal spells, meaning taking dps and dying, is better than "losing" dps while the whole group is under a heal spell thus no hog dies). There are subtle differences between th8 and th9 hog attacks and this video is going more towards a th9 style attack which isn't optimized for th8s.

I thought I would just share it with the community now. I have lots of more replays to share and more training videos. You can count on more great content at both TH8 and TH9 from me. Awesome stuff!! I just did a nice 3 star on a near max th8! I've only recently got my hogs to level 4 so haven't done to many hog attacks, but this was by far my best. I did a couple of giants and spread em out nice and I've never had more hogs survive the attack.

Honestly, that probably had more to do with proper healing than anything as you learn how to better handle your hogs. Look at the stat bump to level 6 giants, that's why TH9s incorporate some giants for the early parts of their attacks.

Just wanted to say thank you and keep it up, I have found your vids extremely useful. I run a clan where we do 15s and 20s, mostly th8 and about 6 th9. I have a th9 and th8 account. My guys at th8 are all learning hogs, they'd all been doing drags for over a year so hogs and cc kills are a huge change. While I can kill a drag with a few barbs/arch and a few wiz, they failed about 50% (or more!) of the time just to get cc down. So you can forget getting them to understand tanking or how to path around gbs. The composition I have found the most successful uses witches in cc and saves poison for King/skellys. Almost always surgical (no giants tho) or 2 finger drops. Your strategy is great and makes a lot of sense but at this point with our th8s they are wrecking it with witch cc kills. Also, I use King to tank my initial drop so it's very similar to yours but with 2 less tanks.

Very much looking king forward to your upcoming th8 videos, they are needed for the community since not everyone is th9 or puts in the time to watch vids and get better.

If they can't kill the CC, just have them poison the CC and use the king to tank the CC and use it with wizards. Witches are way too many troop spaces for dealing with the CC when they don't even kill a dragon/loon.

You're giving up five hogs for something that doesn't pull their weight after the CC kill, when with my CC kill method it's pretty much impossible to screw up so long as you use the poison. the dragon will get off one or two attacks max before biting the dust hit by 5-6 wizards, because his attack speed is slowed. The issue noobs have is they'll blow the king's ability when the dragon isn't poisoned and the wizards will miss and never actually kill him. If they don't need to use 25 troop spaces on witches (which are useless on dragons!) and just use the king to tank it instead, you'll have another 5 hogs at the back end and you'll be that much better off.
