    Attack own village

I think you should be able to attack your own village or the village of a clan mate with the following stipulations:

    • The attacked village is merely a snapshot of its current state so it can still be attacked (if no shield).
    • The person whose village is attacked does not receive a "You are under an attack" message, so they can still operate as usual.
    • The attack and replay shows up in the battle log.
    • No resources are lost from the attack.
    • No trophies are won or lost from either party.
    • The attacker does not get troops, spells, or elixir refunded.
    • Attacking your own village or other clan members does not disable or activate shield.
    • So you can turn these on and off, you must buy a clan "Target" flag from the store. You can only be attacked when the flag is up. Or, just put it in the options screen.

What is your reasoning for it not refunding the attacker's troops?

I honestly don't think everything should be easy. There should be some challenge involved to keep it fun. I think if someone is willing to spend their elixir and troops to attack my castle, then it means a lot more to me, and I also need another outlet to spend elixir.

Plus, it would be more likely for Supercell to implement something like this if it will benefit the economy. It's our payment to Supercell to have the feature, so many of my ideas, you'll see, I try to work into the store or economy in some way.

Single player battles are similar. You don't get your elixir back for those, even if you play them a second time (though you do still get some XP).

In fact, maybe you should get XP for attacking clan mates like you do for single player and donating troops.

Single player battles are similar. You don't get your elixir back for those, even if you play them a second time to steal resources (though you do still get some XP).

These mock battles won't give you resources though. That's a huge difference between the single player battles and the proposed mock battles. The single player campaign would likely be ignored entirely if it wasn't for this.

I feel that for the feature to get much use it can't be this expensive.

Troops themselves are cheap, but it takes forever to build them.

Perhaps a 1 gem fee would work better. This throws a bone to Supercell without driving the player too crazy.

The single player missions are still there, even when there's no more resources. They still cost troops to win, and you get XP for winning them.

So, your reward would be XP and the fact that you are helping your clan mates.

Also, if you got your troops back, you'd just send them all in. If you lose your troops, it will keep you honest. You'd play it just like you would on the real battleground.

Thanks for sharing your concerns. Maybe they'll come up with something.

XP doesn't matter to me nor does the comparison to the single player missions.

"Keeping it real" has merit. I can definitely see your point there. I still feel like this would make it less fun, but this point is compelling.

I like the idea of being able to attack clan mates and your own bases with no penalty, other then troops.
id like to be able to attack my own and test certain setups.

I agree with everything you say. I am in complete agreement and think this would be awesome.
It makes perfect sense not getting your elixir back for troops created. Its the price to pay to practice.

    Check out my idea ->

    Agree with all except....

Been playing for about 2 months but only joined forums this week. We've discussed this idea in clan as well. I agree with many of the ideas except that troops should get refunded BUT before you can attack someone, you use up resources. Now how much gold or pink used is debatable, I say high enough so it won't be over used but low enough so it is actually used. I'm thinking around 150k both gold and pink. Like I said debatable. Or maybe, dare I say it, it uses up a gem or 2.

Another thought is to have a new building which allows you to mock attack self and clan mates. Spend resources but has a time factor to do it....something like a spell factory.

    cheers

I think this is bad, because it promoted non pvp.

Just wait for an attacked, review replay, and adjust.

A tournament would be nice however
