I took down a th8 farmer as a th4 today. He had two PEKKA's guarding his base. Not to mention a Barb King.

I was using barching to get more loot cheaply, but this guy really blocked my way. I drew his PEKKA's and barb king out into a corner, dropped my Clan Castle troops (maxed balloons, 3 of em) and bombed his troops. His base was poorly laid out and I wound up making off with close to 125k of both gold and elixir. (I actually stole some DE too, but I couldn't store it)

yeah i got two stars there... Thanks to the balloons running about and bombing everything I wasn't hitting with my ground troops. It was a few attacks ago, so I lost the replay, don't ask for it.

Edit: With this feature, then these freak occurrences couldn't happen and people would all drop to the lower leagues where no one had their TH lvl. Very exploitable, and should be a ruled out idea.

I just don't think it is fair for a maxed TH8, or early TH9 raiding my base with level 3 P.E.K.K.As and golems which my defenses cannot defeat, thus making it an auto win, ruining the strategy purpose of the game.

I didn't read the entire thread but any max TH8 or TH9 raiding a TH7 with PEKKAs and golems is wasting an army.

I agree with you there, it would be more worthwhile if the TH8s and TH9s with OP troops would go after their own TH level, giving them more loot in return.

This seems a bit suspicious... You encountered a TH8 as a TH4? And you were able to 2 star him, and take out a PEKKA, and his Barb King that easily? That doesn't seem right to me...

Another example, even though I am in Gold I league, I just got raided with GoWiPe, AGAIN. This time, I have barely any dark elixir, little elixir, and a moderate amount of Gold. And even after all of that, he only took 22 trophies. This is making me wonder if he raided me just to torment me.

Hello, I came to say that as a TH7, which I am almost maxed, I am constantly being attacked with unfair troops; that my defenses are too weak to kill. This said, this ends up in a loss of all my hard earned loot, and there isn't anything I can do about it, which really picks my nerves. I am suggesting that higher TH levels (TH8 - TH10) Cannot attack lower level Town Halls. (TH7 - TH5) I might even add that I am also FARMING. And yesterday I was even attacked by an almost maxed TH8 using GoWiPe. There was nothing my defenses could do, and he stole a whopping 225k Gold, 100k elixir, and 1400 dark elixir. This is angering me to no end, and I hope Supercell could take this into consideration. Thank you.

Imagine if you had your wish. The moment you got to th9, you would be so weak with your TH8 troops only being shown all those TH9s with their extra strong weapons and more off them, you would be whining again how unfair it is you re forced to attack people you are too weak to attack.

That wouldn't really be the case, there would probably be other starter TH9s or mid-way TH9s, I'm assuming...

Strategy does not only involve the offensive part of Clash.

Plan your base. Make sure to make it as hard as possible for attackers.
Time management. Raid as efficiently as possible. As a lower level player, you are a part of the "middle level food chain". Yes, when you get raided you lose a lot, but if you choose to go out and attack there are equal amounts to take back. The key to get through TH7 & 8 is to gain more than you lose. Losing is inevitable.

The loot penalty is already in place to keep strong players from feeding of plankton.

I know it is easy to ask the world to change, but sometimes you gotta change as well. The things you suggest would only complicate the matchmaking even further, and would only benefit you at your current progression level. And you alone, along with some other TH7 players in your position. There is a lot of other variables to take into consideration when you balance a game like this.

The upcoming update is said to have some news to the village defensive system. Maybe something there can assist you in your journey?

It's like a food chain.

TH8s loot TH7s, and TH7s loot TH6s.

Splitting up "higher" from "lower" level Townhalls would mess up the economy for TH6-TH8s.

If they're taking no loot, why are you complaining? It's all fine and dandy, plus you get a shield. If you raid, make sure you raid in a session. Don't break your shield for one raid and log off again. Drop in cups. Go to S3.
