Too much elixir on TH8

I'm maxing my TH 8 and my troops, barracks, spell factory, everything related to elixir is max so is my defenses everything related to gold. but my lvl 8 walls are a little under halfway done. I have had max elixir storages for 1 week, and was hoping to farm my gold to max my walls but it's impossible to max the walls without having max elixir for weeks. If we could use elixir for lvl 8 walls that'd balance the storages a bit and there wouldn't be an abundant amount of elixir just sitting there for weeks on end. And it's not that I'm impatient it's that every TH8 has to go through this gruesome faze of just watching all that elixir and not being able to use it for anything but troops and donations. Even if I train mass dragons (which I did for awhile) I still go right back up to max elixir very shortly after. Just an idea. To start elixir and gold for upgrading walls at level 8.

Not going to happen. If you remember, and you probably dont because you are a th8, when this feature was in the game before it ruined the elixir economy for th8, th9 and th10. There was no elixir anywhere to be found. It is just a short wait for th9 then you will forget all about it. If they did change it now, when you do go to th9, you wont ever be able to find elixir anywhere...

I'm a TH 8 too and i'm upgrading my traps. I have max elixir storage but what do I do to dump this is to train 4 Pekkas, wizards/barchers and 8 wb, 1 rage and 1 heal just to farm D.E and gold... For fun

I'm th8 using dragons in every raid. I'm always between 5 500 000 and 4 500 000 elixir. Only thing left to max are walls and I'm on half of way to do it.
Elixir for lvl 8 walls is not needed.
Just sit with full storages like I do :P

This would motivate people to stay at TH8 longer and not develop their bases, which I don't think sc wants.

I'm in a similar situation. The only elixir upgrade left is a 3M dragon upgrade. I leave 1 storage outside the base and another behind only layer of wall. By doing this I've noticed there are far more mass goblin farmers than I realised. With one exposed easy to get storage offering about 104K of elixir I've been attacked several times by mass goblins something which didn't happen when my storages were in the core of the base and protected.
