I don't see a good use for this..

Something I would like to see though is, just like the MVP attack/defense, who contributed the most in forms of donations. That would be really nice imo

in my opinion it is not the same thing, because it is not very intuitive to remember the troops donated by each member of the clan (sometimes 50 different people) and then after the request for donation go to recheck each member.
maybe it also happens that you ask the troops before removing a bit 'and then reconnect after half an hour or an hour.
with my idea instead click on the "i" and see "donated by fellow archer, barbarian donated by foo" and you see it right away.
