I own this clan. And i need tips to make my clan grow bigger.
I want to know, how do i get people to like my clan?
How do i make them stay?
How do i make them join in the first place...

This is a big job. I would try to join a successful clan that is growing and observe how the leadership operates. As you will see by just searching clans there are so many 1-5 person clans stuck cause they don't know how to grow or attract people. I have never owned until now , my own clan but been part of many clans for 3 years now. i see what works and what doesn't. Learning how to build a clan is tough but just your first road block. Then retaining and building a strong clan takes even more effort and a different set of skills.

Have you tried using the search function to look for other threads like this one made by people asking for tips also? Did you look a few pages back in this section to see if you could find threads asking this question or something similar? If you have not then try doing those things sine people asking how to grow their clans and how to recruitment members is a pretty common question so you could look for other threads asking stuff like that and try to find some tips from people who already posted in those. Also if you didn't read the how to run a successful clan thread then I would recommend that you do since it's pretty helpful and in depth.Originally Posted by MasterDoug
Your tips? Spend a ton of time in Global and hope to get lucky finding other clanmates who will stick around and do the same until you get a solid foundation.

#101 As leader donate a lot, if members get troops they'll be more likely to stay, if they wait 24 hrs and get nothing... why would they stay?
#102 Spend time recruiting, if you don't advertise you aren't likely to get members. That might mean recruiting in the forums here, other coc forums, global chat, etc
#103 Don't lie about your clan, if you lie when recruiting, no reason for anyone to stay... i.e. don't say level 1 clan that wars like a level 10 clan etc or 90%+ win % when your clan doesn't win that many wars, if you look at the recruitment forums you'll see a ton of this and considering those clans seem to always be recruiting, i don't think they are getting/keeping many members with false advertisement
#104 Do smaller wars at the start, they are much easier to win than bigger wars, 10x10 mix wars are likely the easiest wars to win since most clans queuing those are just scrapped together to war and generally lack any sort of organization.. of course you'll still get the odd good clan but % wise, you're more likely to get a freebie war than a tough war

Well Douglas, you need a informative, long description to get people to know that you didn't just make a clan in a snap, they want more description about where the clan is from, the required trofies, and if it is a war clan. Also, you are going to need a lot of trofies to show that the clan isn't weak. And last but not least, donate ALOT, because you will need to provide troops for your clan.
