Well for one your pretty high in the trophy count for a th 6. Th 6 do well sub 900... Upgrade your walls that's one. And you are way to prone to mass giant.

That's normal for th 1-6. The best defense for you is to put your th outside and get the free shield, and when you raid, you should get 3X as much as you lose.
The reason is th1-6 just doesn't have enough walls and structures to stop all but the weakest attacks. Base design doesn't really have an impact until th7. That being said, the main goal of th6 is getting to th7.
