Clan War Matching

Not fair to existing clans when gameplay is changed to make it a disadvantage to clans that are maxing out all areas of the game...

The major disadvantage is that they get slammed in regular MMing.

Yeah, my clan is experiencing the same issue..seem to always get match up with more powerful clans. Has to do with the rushers I think. I do no think the matching system takes into account the level of the defenses and attack abilities more then then level of the Town Halls? So if I JUST upgraded to a TH9 but had everything maxed out at TH8 before hand, there is a good chance I am going to be put up against a medium to maxed TH9.

That is incorrect. The war matchmaking algorithm takes into account TH levels, the levels of all defensive structures, the level of all offensive troops and spells, the level of your spell factory, camp space, walls, hero level, and number of structures. Everything contributes.

If you go to the "Clan War" subforum and read the "Clan War FAQ" stickied at the top they explicitly state this.

You should try to cancel the search and restart it if it is taking too long. That's what we normally do, and 90% of the time we are faced with a clan that will challenge us and give us a good war.
