A few weeks back i made a similar thread as this one, and it was more of a "am i the only one" kind of thread then a real one with idea's
I've been living in champion for almost a month now, and well i really think the matchmaking up here is a problem..
There are almost no trophies to win. i often attack multiple times in a row in a time period of 2-6(or more) hours, and its a pain to see how many +1 trophy attacks are in my attack log purely because there aren't any targets that give more (or they give a nice amount of loot).
I do however wonder, Why is it that I as TH9 in champion get matchups from Master 3 or crystal 1?
I have thought of a few possible solutions for this problem.
1. Search for matches within your own league before stepping out to find ones in other leagues
if there aren't any targets in your league, go 1 step lower or higher.
2. Make trophy rewards level based (don't get all fussed up yet i'll explain what i mean)
3. Increase trophy rewards from players in lower leagues.
Explanations:
1. well this is pretty straight forward, this might end up in a lot of townhall levle 10's passing by, but they're 90% of the match ups now anyways.
2. What i mean with make them level based is:
Trophy leagues wont change, but instead of rewarding trophies for League only, change the calculation to include the players level.
I.e. now if i find a TH7 that sits in Champion 2 it would give me around 50 or more trophies for a 3star
which isnt a challenge at all.
what i propose is to make a change in the calculation for master 1 and up to be (as TH9 level 95):
In one league higher (champion 2)
I find a TH10 (lvl110) i get around 40-50 trophies.
I find a TH9 (lvl 95) i get around 35-45 trophies
I find a TH8 (lvl 90) i get around 25-35 trophies
In my own league (champion 3)
I find a TH10 (lvl110) i get around 30-35 trophies.
I find a TH9 (lvl 95) i get around 25-30 trophies
I find a TH8 (lvl 90) i get around 20-25 trophies
While i get a match from master 1 (1 league lower)
I find a TH10 (lvl110) i get around 25-30 trophies.
I find a TH9 (lvl 95) i get around 20-25 trophies
I find a TH8 (lvl 90) i get around 15-20 trophies
A match from master 2 (2 leagues lower)
I find a TH10 (lvl110) i get around 20-25 trophies.
I find a TH9 (lvl 95) i get around 15-20 trophies
I find a TH8 (lvl 90) i get around 10-15 trophies
A match from master 3 or lower (3+ leagues lower)
I find a TH10 (lvl110) i get around 20-25 trophies.
I find a TH9 (lvl 95) i get around 15-20 trophies
I find a TH8 (lvl 90) i get around 10-15 trophies
I think setting both a minimal and a maximal threshold would be a good way to optimize match ups in master 1 and higher.

I would like to hear some idea's from you guys and i really hope there comes a (relatively quick) solution to this problem
