Raids against bases with lots of elixir and gold unfairly matched

I find it VERY odd how the more elixir and gold I accumulate, the stronger the people get that are raiding my base. Obviously the game engineers have the "formula" set up so that once a TH 9 or TH 10 accumulates a certain amount of gold and elixir, the only people that can raid you are people with maxed out troops that have been establishing the algorithm of massive attacks on bases.

What I'm trying to say is this: I leave my TH on the outside, "farming", and when I have lower amounts of gold & elixir the OVERWHELMING majority of those who raid against me just snipe my TH and move on. But, once those G&E numbers get up to a certain point, everyone that attacks me winds up doing a full, massive attack and stealing large amounts of G&E, even tho my TH is still being farmed.

The game is rigged so that the algorithm established by certain players and their attacking styles are the only ones that see you as available to be attacked, and the players that typically "snipe" TH's do not see you at all. This way, you can't save enough G&E to actually do your upgrades. You have to keep fighting and re-earning what you've already earned because now your base with 7,000,000 G&E is only visible to maxed TH 10's that are going to do a full attack and not just take your TH.

It's cheap. And tawdry. And one more reason I'm closer and closer to never buying another gem again. Just one more way the "pushers" at Supercell keep you coming back for more.

I have had a lot of experience with this problem my self, especially when the last update was delayed by a few days. Every time i logged out with my TH outside with full stores I would always get followed through and lose a few 100k G&E at least.

However, as far as I'm aware, loot has nothing to do with the matchmaking algorithm. The only reason they attack you when you have lots of loot is because.... well, you have lots of loot and the guys that just snipe and leave probably have the strength to get your resources, if you had any to take.

This is just based off personal experience, and I am in titan 3 at the moment, so most people that snipe me are maxed anyway, so you are in a different context. Just keep in mind though that not having your TH inside your base actually makes it much easier for an attacker to get the 50% and/or get more of your resources.

That's because when you have low loot, there's no purpose for anyone to attack you other than to snipe your TH. When you have more loot, then people have purpose to actually attack you. If you have a decent base then lower levels are going to skip over you, because they know they won't take your loot...so you're only going to get attacked by people who think they CAN take your loot, and can take enough to make profit after the cost of their army.

There's no special coding here, it's basic economics.

I do suspect that there may be some outside of game assistance. Seems like once you cross a few thresholds(2000DE) you get piled on and if you're sitting at 1800 you get sniped.

    refute this completely

Im TH10 use strong attacks - but I rarely get eye popping loot.

What league are you in gold, silver, crystal

In the lower leagues there are less TH sniping going on, this is because the reward is pitiful compared to collector farming or smash and grab tactics, if they come accross your base they will think twice before just sniping it, in my th sniping days I always stopped to have a good look at high loot bases, the purpose of the game after all is to steal copious ammounts of loot.

So it maybe that you need to climb higher in the leagues if you wish to stockpile loot, because there are a lot of TH bully's in the lower leagues.

    no, just no.

When you have no loot in your stores, those maxed TH10's hit "next" as fast as possible. Dozens of them probably view your base before some other bloke comes along and TH snipes you.

When you're fully laden, those max TH10's see you and go "free loot!" The trick is to not stash so much loot in your storages that these max TH10's come calling. If you're saving for an elixir upgrade, dump your gold on walls, and vice versa. Never sit with full storages for all 3 resources, you're going to get owned!!

The reason you only get sniped when you have low loot is because the weaker players are looking for trophies to push up. The stronger players are not. They're only looking for loot, and want to stay low in cups on purpose. So they skip your base.

But when you have a lot of loot to offer, the stronger attackers stop skipping your base and will decide to attack you.

It has absolutely nothing to do with the matchmaking system but everything to do with what you're mainly offering at any give time - loot or cups only.

actually the reason a th9 or higher would even consider attacking a th8 or lower...

    is loot.

so if you're pumped with loot ofcourse you're gonna get attacked by the first one who can grab it.
