Unless you are th10 with max troops and base maybe. I am unlucky cause I am th9 with max troops that I use. But isn't enough anymore to three star due to running out of time. Its almost impossible for a max th9 to 3 star another max th9 with lev 8 walls or higher using any ground troop combo excluding hogriders. I've tried tons of different styles and only sometimes do I get lucky to 3 star in time limit and I am a strategic player But don't like troops that can just hop over or fly over all our hard work. Its not right. I guess really. I don't like easy wins that are unfair and easy in my eyes. Before building update game had wider variety of attacks that could 3star still in under 3. Guess I got to get to work on my lava hounds. Sorry not trying to get banned. But like life this game can be very unfair and irritating and it just keeps getting worse and worse... and of course money is a cure all. I refuse to blow thousands just cause of the fact that it is not worth it. But some bases I am matched with clearly don't mind that advantage as well. I don't have a year to waste updating barb king and archer queen plus trying to war without them. Cost to much to be what I would want to be and not enough attack strategies. Guess I'm disappointed at this point. Well Then a extra minute at least. You guys act like I'm asking for the world. And for those who do have tons of time on this game. Its a lot harder now and really pushes people to spend money more now then ever before. Which I think is wrong.

False. Many hybrid attacks will use hogriders, and/or backend loons, but you can do it sometimes without. You'll usually need the 4xEQ or multiple jumps to accomplish this however.
And hogs/loons are tools. Why not use the right tool for the job?

these troops (e.g., hogs, loons) are in the game for a reason. If you're going to arbitrarily refuse to use all the tools in the box, you're understandably going to have a hard time getting 3 stars. The problem here is not the 3 minute time limit, it's your choice of units to bring.

Here's a major problem. You are NOT going to get 3 stars on any decent TH9 base without higher level heros. Again, you could have a 473 minute timer, and without high level heroes you are NOT going to get 3 stars on any decent TH9 base.

The 3 minute timer doesn't push people to spend money. And asking for a longer timer would fundamentally alter the game. 3 minutes is PLENTY of time to pull off your attack, Supercell has given you all the tools necessary to do so. If you refuse to use certain troops and won't level your heroes, that's not a "problem with the game" or "Supercell grubbing for money."
If you don't have the time to spend in this game and upgrade all your tools properly, then you should have either stayed at TH8 longer where heroes matter less, and/or lower your expectations on what bases you can and cannot 3 star. Unless you're in an "elite war clan" (doubtful), you can help them in war as a guaranteed 2star Gowiper, at least your not blowing attacks that way. Manage your expectations and you'll have more fun in the game.

My barb king is lev 10 and my archer queen is 5. I may get them both up to 15. I feel I'm only talking with super high lev players who do not know the full effects of building updates or gemmers or both. I never had any issue with game till they doubled attack speed of cannons and archer towers. Didn't like that much. Then they messed with cc troops sight to where defending troops were ghost. Which they then fixed and changed back. But the building strength update was wrong.. only helped max players. Same with fire rate but not as much. I also said I have max troops that I use. Pekka giant healer wiz barbarian archer bomber did do balloons and drags cause I am leader but never used myself witch healer and golem who is disappointing to me. Prefer giants only due to duel placement if needed and attack power. Maybe I need to get over trying to be different and just use what everyone does and I hate denying players level of walls. Jump spell seems kinda fair but wish it was never added and I myself do not use. What I get from all this is do not upgrade walls past 9. I have a job and a life and do not want it completely consumed by this game like so many or breaking my bank. Need to get back into normal games that don't demand so much money or time to achieve top rankings. I mean to play this game to max without gemming anything would take I don't even want to think about it. Getting 94 and 96 or 98 percent is annoying I know that much. Like Pekka beating through a wall. When there's a hole 2inches away or walking a mile around and then turning back around and then back around again. Ai needs to be smarter or something. But not hogs or balloons or any of that I feel you guys. You all probably just love this game to pieces I enjoy it but it needs work. That is never going to be done. How can you have brain dead ai of any kind on a game that's been out this long. Just sad. Alright thanks guys. Try wall jumping spell first I guess. Figured max rage was better but also feel one spell is usually kinda wasted most of the time. I just really like war and being able to 3 star with the troops I use to before building update not get close and times up. Like it is now sometimes.
