Angry Wall Breaker is getting dumber and dumber over this year.

Today my wall breakers couldn't break the outer layer because they were all targeting one spot where about 5 space away from where I was targeting. And luckily there was a wizard tower, and it killed them 3 times. I tried to target different spot of that section, and they all went to the same F♥♥♥ing spot. I have being using it since I unlocked it, and I can feel the change from perfect to almost useless sometimes. After several updates starting this year, wall breaker has finally reached the point of being a complete idiot. It doesn't go straight anymore; It never find any joints to blowup; and it would even go all the way and give defense enough time to kill them all. It was prefect last year, so I don't understand why someone decided to make it so difficult to predict where it will end up.

They will always go to the closest unbreached compartment, keep that in mind when attacking!

Wall breaker AI is fine. Gonna file this thread under "user error."

It was the closest spot I got, but they still chose the same further path. Tried not to pretend you are the only smart as here.

Honestly I feel like they finally got everything except the WB working in a way that makes sense. Troops attacking a wall after the building had been destroyed was annoying, and the AQ used to have terrible AI. Those seem to work pretty well now. But the WB is still hit or miss. They're very difficult to predict.

Again, if multiple sets of wall breakers went toward the wizard tower and not the wall you wanted to crack (you claim in your OP that it happened 3 times), that is 100% without a doubt "user error.". If ALL you wall breakers were going to the WT is WAS the closest building and the wbs targeted it.
Most people who claim wb AI is bad tend to not understand what exactly IS wall breaker AI. They don't target walls, they target buildings, that happen to be enclosed by walls. Was the base you were attacking moated? If so, they're not targeting the 1st layer of walls, they're targeting the building behind the SECOND layer of walls. If the WT was closer than those buildings, that's where they are supposed to go!

Overall, wall breaker AI is rigidly coded and outside of extreme circumstances entirely predictable. Every now and again 1 or 2 may seem to go awry, but usually upon inspection of the replay, I find they did was they should have done and I expected something different. That is the definition of "user error."

There used to be an excellent wall breaker tutorial floating around here. Perhaps a search of the forums and/or Google could find it. That or some other helpful forum goer...

The wizard tower was inside the wall, and I dropped WB at 3 different spots. However, they all went to the same spot where the wizard tower was attacking the giant OUTSIDE the WALL. Of course they will be killed once they came closer. If you call this an "user error," I would say you have some serious IQ error.

The Giants had beat on the wall enough for it to be considered damaged. I believe wall breakers, like most other troops, will preferentially target weakened or damaged walls.

All 3 spots, and they all went to the same place. If what you said is true, then that's ridiculous. Would you drop WB first? You need something taking the hit so it can crack the wall up. Once you reach Master, WB simply only good for 2 layers (3 if you are lucky). You need dump after that. I also encountered WB doesn't go straight even my troops were finishing up outer structures.
