Sorry but us farmers don't feel like shelling out 100$ every day playing this game. If you feel the need to spend all your life savings into this game, go right ahead. I would rather be smart and save

Ehm im sorry to dissapoint you but you dont need to spend any money if you dont want to, yet still you dont need to farm (im being more and more sure of what real skill means in this game).

btw i spent on gems around £50 till now, for lvl 75 without farming i still think im doing pretty good

I suppose it depends on how you define 'farming'.

I'm attacking other people of similar level to my own and managing 2+ million gold a day, so I don't call that 'farming'.

TH8, ~1800 trophies, if you wondered.

Much more satisfying to take 200k+ gold from someone at my same level anyway.

Why is that ♥♥? If hes got enough time to do that he dont need any gems for doing what hes doing in 1800 range!!!

30 minutes to train an army capable of wining means he could attack cca 48 times a day, if he would do that he could win even much more than 2M!

maybe that you have crossed into a trophy level that not suitable for farming or that you have no idea what your doing.?

Ive been on here a while now and all i hear is ♥♥♥♥♥ing about farming. Learn the mechanics of the game. Understand that every trophy you gain has an effect on the people you meet. Learn to adapt.

What you dont do is come on here without at least searching the forums and seeing the countless others that started the same story. You never know you may actaully learn to construct a sentence when posting a new thread??

I'm a lvl 61 th 8 and I am farming quite well. i get a minimum of 100k of each from every raid and rarely use all of my troops. I looted a guy for nearly 400k gold yesterday. Farming is fine. You just have to know where to look

To be honest, I think everyone has their own definition of "farming". I am also TH8, reside around 1350 cups atm, and I probably average over 150K of gold per raid. Some would call that farming, some might not. I personally don't consider this farming in the true definition.

When some people say things like "they nerfed farming" or "farming is dead", they are referring to the days where you can raid 1.5m+ of gold per hour using only goblins and staying at or around 0 cups. But since few updates ago, they have nerfed it. I know they raised the cup range to 0-199 at one point, but I'm wondering if that range is even dead. And if you're TH8+, forget about it...

I've been playing for about 4 days with a TH4. I don't plan on buying gems so wanted to keep my trophy count low (zero if possible), "farm" for gold and elixir, and build up my defenses. However, I got attacked a few times while offline and my trophy count went up to 130 or something. It took me a long time last night losing battles to get back down to 55 trophies, but there I got stuck. No matter how many matches I looked for none of them would allow me to lower my trophy count further. I wonder if the trophy system has floors implemented so that if you're at TH3 and you pass 100 trophies then you can never go back below 50 trophies??

You can still get to 0 cups, but it's not practical. It'll cost you a lot of gold searching through matches that'll net you -1 cup. Trust me, there's not reason to try to get to 0. It's just not worth it anymore.

I just assume people that complain about not getting enough gold or elixir to upgrade either
A. Don't know what they are doing
B. Gemmed to TH 9 as quickly as possible and now get nothing for raiding because a lvl 41 w/ a TH 9 can't hang with the big boys.
i have no problem getting resources for upgrades at TH 8 lvl 59 and I'm not even considering going TH 9 till I have too

I put forward that it is possible not to gem and also not to 'farm' and still enjoy this game.

Does it take a bit of patience? Yes.
Does it take a much more relaxed view of the importance of this game to your daily life? Yes.

However, the game can still be free and fun at the same time, no 'life savings' needed.

It can be, but for many taking a relaxed view and waiting around for resources is not fun.

Of course you can have fun with the game if you don't care about the speed at which you make progress.
