Is the pokeball base overrated? Now now just a thought!

That answered absolutely nothing...

The Pokeball is a great base at TH8 when stuff is nearing maxed out-especially if you are only doing walls. But like all bases, the layout doesnt matter if the defences in them arent upgraded enough.

Exactly, a lot of people pour so much time over designs [I too have trying to get the little bit extra]

One good design may only be 10% more successful then another good design. The most critical factor is the level of those defences, if the defences are weak it doesn't matter what design you have; it will fall against a players best troops one hall above you.

But all your air defences on one side is crazy, clearly you've changed the design. I would all dragon the right; take all your dark elixir & a elixir container. And probably most of your gold too.
