Heya Peeps,
In my last war, our opponent did something that I don't understand, and I'm hoping that someone can shed light.
Their low numbers used either one or both attacks on our high numbers. They dropped just a troop or two, and then ended the attack. For example, it was a 25x25 war. Their 23, 24, and 25 dropped a troop or two on our previously un-attacked 2, 3, 5, 6, and 7. Obviously, they zero-starred.
I can't, for the life of me, figure out why. I could understand if they launched a full attack with the goal of flushing out CC troops, bombs, and traps--but they just dropped one troop.
One clan member speculated that they wanted to give the appearance of losing, so that we either waste or don't use our attacks. There were a lot of 0-stars on the map early in the war--but it seems a bit far-fetched.
Any ideas? Has anyone seen this strategy before?
Oh, and btw, they ended up slaughtering us, 3-starring all but our #1, and winning 74-62.
Thx, Fungi
