    Using Gold to Upgrade Troops

I think it would be great if we could use gold to upgrade our troops in the research laboratory, and the dark elixir drill would be better if it were to produce more dark elixir per hour. Also, if we could share resources amongst our clan members, that would fantastic.

Sharing resources is ruled out. As for the other ideas, i dont see why we would use gold to upgrade troops while we need elixir to train them. DE rills production has already been increased in the past.

I really don't get any free gold from upgrading walls to spare on troops. I think it's balanced... For DE drills, they are good to go atm... Sharing resources is ruled out. There's a very good reason for it.

This would increase hopping more & more... People going in clans, staying for 1-2 days, giving good donations, taking huge amounts of resources and leaving... Finding another clan to do the same

    NO!!!!!!

First of all, using gold to upgrade troops just doesn't make sense. It's not like they've made troop upgrades really expensive. They knew that they made walls expensive, that's why they agreed to let walls at higher levels be upgraded using elixir. But that's not a problem with troop upgrades, is it? And finally, do you really think that a sensible reason may be created as to how gold increases the powers of troops? I don't think so.

Secondly, dark elixir is the game's most rare resource. What everybody would love is a 24/7 full DE storage whenever they log in. But then what is the point of DE when nobody realizes its value? By getting more DE from drills, people wont feel the need to raid DE. That's just gonna make the game a whole lot easier. I personally think that the DE system is just fine the way it is.

And last but not least, sharing resources among our clan members is not a bad idea, plus it can help the low-level players advance faster into the game. But then where's the challenge? According to me, a player gets the real knowledge of the game when he just starts. All of the top players have worked hard since the beginning and thus have been able to get that far. But if people don't face challenges in the first half of the game, i doubt that the game will prove easy to them.

Anyway, that's just my opinion. I just hope it helped.

The update where spells could be formed with elixir pretty much declared that offense was to be solely comprised of elixir and DE-related things. I don't think SC wants to change that, so this isn't going to happen.
