I have thought a bit about the upcoming update and speculations, and I am going to lay some things out.
SC will have to do something about loot, because the upgrades will only get more expensive. That means more than 8 million loot for most things, and that means storages with a higher capacity. But with higher upgrade costs, it will be harder to continue upgrading buildings, and even longer upgrade times. This will cause many players to lose interest at the high levels, losing money for SC. But many will still try to obtain the extreme amounts of loot needed, resulting in an absolutely terrible economy. Also, if a new hero is released (most likely some sort of goblin-resource-stealing-hero, I will explain in a minute), the DE needed to upgrade this will cause a huge strain on the economy. We're not even mentioning level 50 heroes. So, how will SC fix this terrible mess they call the CoC economy? Of course! More, and higher level collectors! Think about it. A single max Archer Tower at TH10 is 7.5 million gold. Whew. That alone is hard enough, but think about farming even MORE for a single AT. It won't be harder just because you need more loot, but because with a new townhall level (maybe?), or even with this huge update, MANY players will come back to the game. The result of higher costs, combined with more people to compete with for loot, as well as less dead bases from the people coming back, ...wow. It will be a nightmare. That's why I believe SC would implement level 13 and 14 collectors, plus an extra one for each resource, gold and elixir. A resource gathering hero, such as a goblin thingy, would also help out. But with the new hero, and possibly the new BK and AQ levels, DE will also be in high demand. So, maybe an extra drill for TH11 (or TH10 if TH11 isn't implemented) would help fix that, maybe along with another drill level. Here is a quote about the possible goblin king I like:

It is unlikely though, since having an extra hero around would mean two still available when one upgrades. Could be a big loss of gems to Supercell.
If it happened, my vote would be a Goblin Chieftain. Better for raiding than war, but still useful for quickly dropping those storages shielding defenses. Special ability: summon goblins, heal, short term jump spell that travels with Chieftain like the BK rage and only affects goblins.
I know that many ideas from this quote have already been said, but here you go for some of you who aren't filled in yet. I'm still thinking about stuff, but wanted to get this posted first to get some feedback. I don't know, maybe it won't be as bad as I am predicting, or maybe SC has a brilliant other solution. These are just some of the things I have thought about so far. Better finish up HW now.
Ok I'm back real quick. So SC could also help the economy by making the single player things more interactive. First, they need more single player missions, and to make them more interesting such as the whole quests idea, and to have many more levels. I would like to see things like where you could gain resources by having your base defend against goblin attacks, and choosing at a crossroads in the single player missions with multiple paths, and seeing how those choices have consequences and rewards. More single player features would attract WAY more players daily, bringing in more money for SC. Another feature that I am liking is the whole thing about clan tournaments, maybe with a feature where you are in a group of say 8 clans or so, and there are 16 hour sessions where everyone has 1 attack, and the winner of each mini-war is determined by some sort of points system where points are determined by difference in townhall level and attack percentage, something like that. That way many level people can compete, but they would have lots of divisions so...I don't know where I'm going with this, but the point is making it more competitive for people either not at the highest townhall level, or interested in trophy pushing for months straight.

Ok I'm back again. So back to what I was talking about. Releasing a bunch of cool new features that EVERYONE can enjoy will be key in SC's success. They probably are saving stuff for updates soon, after ClashCon, so we don't get everything and then get burned out. It's like with phones; why release everything cool with the next phone, when you won't have anything to bring everyone back with when the iPhone 7sC Plus 5GS comes out? Back on topic. I know that I am starting to ramble, but there are still many things I am contemplating about how SC might work this out. New toys would keep our interest, such as dark troops and spells or more elixir troops and spells. Maybe new troops that are built in a separate barracks, that cost both elixir and DE. I'm just trying to think like both SC and their main customers right now. I know I am probably wrong on a lot of things, but hey, maybe some of the big guys up there will see this and think about what I have said. So, this is OnomatopoeiaDeerMeatMan, and see yall later.
