Well if you don't farm, you will NOT get far with trophy hunting. I mean you can do what you want by all means, but if you want to be able to make a stand to most of those higher lvl players..... All I can say is GL.

i guess you guys may be right. I waste gold shuffling through matches, and I get 4 trophies by destroying THs. I love about 17 per successful attack. I can stay up there with the number of times I attack. I still don't get how farming is so important. i don't get screwed over for ALL of my defenses, but I lose about 40% of them.

At least upgrade your troops to maxed for your TH level. Also, farm at lower trophies, like 1300s, then gain when your base is really strong, like maxed defenses and at least level 7 walls.

Also, guys, I see no point in farming because I can just use gems to get what I need. I use various rewards apps for free iTunes and I even give away gems to my clan.

You cannot get resource for upgrades and push for trophies at the same time. If you need pekkas to gather resource, then you have a problem.

You need at least pink walls everywhere. (you will lose tons of trophies if somebody 100% your base)
Your mortars need to be level 6.
And your main army should be maxed (level 5 in your case).

Just go down to 1300 T for a week and get back-up after. Repeat until you have upgraded everything. Than go to TH9 and start all over again.

You obviously play alot if you got to 2000 T with level 4 archers. You will be able to get 4-5M per day of each. You can upgrade your archers and one of your mortar + some walls in a week.

Being a leader doesn't mean you have to be the top player all the time. I can go from 1300 T to 2000 T in a single day. Staying at 2000 T doesn't prove much.

I don't stay at 2000 T not because I get attacked much. I go back down because bases are too strong there and trophies and resource are too scarce there. How your archers handle 3 x-bows and level 7 mortars? I guess you skip those bases?

there are not many TH outside at 2100-2200 T. This tactics won't get you much higher. Your troops will get you higher but you need to upgrade them first. That's why everybody is talking about farming. Level 6 archers cost 7.5M elixir. How will you get that with pekkas?

Once again, I'm not a farmer. I'm a trophy hunter. That won't help.

Just asking, why are you a trophy hunter if you know your premature TH8 and can barely stay at 2000? Why not farm until you have a better base, then trophy hunt? Also, whats the point, in your case, of trophy hunting? Id suggest maxing splash, then offence (troops, camps, etc). Then point defence, then tesla

There's really no other way of going about it unless you want to gem yourself to a maxed TH8 and then start with the trophy push.....

I think it's fairly common to get "help" on topics you didn't ask for and next to no advice what you really asked for. Everyone can play the game how ever they choose, gemming, farming and everything in between.

Other than that, I agree 100% on the advice above and would add: upgrade your primary attacking units as well. That will help you even more to keep trophies than upgrading your base. Gain more than you lose
