the only problem is that there are plenty of valid reasons for missing attacks, hospitalization, a funeral, power outage etc. etc. I'd hate to have a blemish on my profile just because I couldn't attack because I had an emergency.

Now if you could rig it to detect and show war attacks missed because you weren't in the clan on battle day I'd be up for that.

Sorry, I have to disagree. COC < Real life. Real life can throw curves that make taking war attacks a low priority.

No, and that's why you don't bring random people from global to war, have them wait 1-2 wars before you put them in and make sure they share a war attack strategy to see if they are good, then you can let them join.

Exactly. Our clan makes new members spectate one war. We reject any war deserters wishing to join if we see that they're eligible for war in xx hours. Sometimes, we'll accept, troll them and then kick them out.

It would be nice if SC simply put another stat right there on your profile for all to see...right next to your "all time best" and "war stars won"- total clans joined.

'Total clans joined' is not good; I for one visit my friends clans and come to the original clan and keep visiting others; but obviously I don't leave if I'm in the middle of a war. So people would be judgemental when they look at my profile.... And it doesn't set the right picture too. And also for other new players; they will have to keep going through clans to find the best ones that fit them, so they'll have a high clan join rate as well.

In all seriousness I like the idea of showing how many dropped war attacks would almost certainly be a deciding factor if you actually wanted them in your clan in the first place.

But the op mentioned that yes even people who have been there a while can up sticks and leave which I know has cost us a war which is frustrating to say the least.
