New TH9 having trouble farming!!!

I am a new TH9 with maxed farming troops and had no problem with farming or whatsoever at TH8. I could farm 1.2mil of each easily in 1 hour without boosting. I reached TH9 with capped resources and immediately got my cc up, aq and the rest of the walls. Then, I started farming with my lvl 5 gibarch in Gold III. After nexting for 15mins, I couldnt find a decent base with 200k+ loot and eventually I gave up and attacked a TH8 with 150k of each. I assume the raid as a loss since I lost more elixer than I gained. I used gibarch with 2 rages, 1 heal and 1 jump. After attacking with AQ once, I upgraded her to lvl 2

in the first 7 days of th9 you just need to focus on elixir.
use pure barch no spell and attack dead bases. usually you can find a dead base in 50 next at most.
after 2 weeks you can finish all elixir upgrades and then use gibarch and focus on de.

try to upgrade both de drills non stop to lvl6. that need too much lix but it worth it.

Be patient and keep nexting and you will find it's worth it.

You can search for 20 minutes and find just 1 dead base but maybe in the next 10 minutes you will find another 2 dead bases.

Maybe you were searching in a bad time.

I suggest that you use BAM: 10-20 minions + Barch.
Brew rages and heals with poison.
Use Spells when necessary and no more than 1 spell per attack unless the base is really good.

TH9 is elixir hungry! The recent cost increase and nerf to barch hurt new TH9's the most. This coming from a player with experience before and after the change leveling a TH9.

Gibarch is for dark elixer farming.

When I gibarch results tend to look something like this per boost sesssion:

Net profit

9-14 million gold

1-4 million elixer

40-60 thousand dark elixer

Clearly Dark is the goal/focus of my farming.


As a new TH9 use mostly BAM

Using BAM with 1 barrack boosted for archers 1 DB boosted for minions and non-boosted barbs in other barracks I can generally max out elixer in 1-2 boost sessions. Will also make a lot of gold but DE will be roughly what I started with or only slightly more.

20 gems for 2 hours of non-stop attacking is well worth it. Also works unboosted but you will have to find something to do between attacks or look for snipes while waiting.

You just can't use 4 spells on a base unless its a freaking gold find. First few days at ANY th tend to be a little rough without the max camps and farm troops for your new th level. Like a couple people said focus on elixir then go back to your DE Farming in a couple of weeks.

Keep nexting and do not give up. TH9 is rough at the start but once you get lvl6 Giants you will be good to go. I agree with what people are saying about elixer. Just Barch those dead bases. I found a dead TH8 just this morning with over 250k each with only about 10 nexts in Silver. Good luck to you!

If you think TH9 is rough, wait till you get to TH10.

Th9 is a sweet spot for farming. Very soon you will be able to crush TH8's like nothing,

I know how it feels, when I was new th9 I couldn't find any loot :/ but once you have th9 gibarch then its so easy
I suggest you move up to gold I and search for dead bases there's plenty of them. Also switch to BAM instead of Gibarch as it's faster and uses a lot less elixer.
