    It's because he wants to tell how "bad" was the new matchmaking. I think there are an extremely high number of idle players, but maybe they have been removed with the time being from the multiplayer (telling this from looking at my friends bases, and no changes since some time, even with completely full lv 11 collectors).
    Recently came back into the newer CoC, comparing to the one I used to play a lot back in 2015. They made nice changes, and the game sure is going the right way!

    The truth is a lot of people have left the game over the past 3 years... Or their taking a break...
    And the latest September tracker estimated 3 million active players a day. That's actually a pretty low number considering 30 million in January.

    Actually, this might be surprising, but many people will argue on what "inactive" will mean.
