You should let them know you are going...its common courtesy. It's up to you whether you want to let them know the reason why. But as far as the way they act when you don't 3 star...I say don't be in a clan that doesn't make you feel good when you play the game. They should be giving helpful advice when you don't 3 star...not ignoring you. I'm sure they make their own mistakes as well that they don't want to mention in chat. You will be much happier if you go to a clan that is more welcoming and helpful but also still competitive of course.
Clashing is a beautiful thing....when everything goes your way.
I'd like to see your clan if you're winning to the point where it's getting boring.
Just give a explanation as to why you are leaving. Also try to sound nice about it. After that just go ahead and leave. They might understand and they might not. Chances are you will never talk to them again if you don't know them in real life so it dosen't really matter if they understand or not.

This is sad! Not 3 staring shouldn't be a reason to demote. But in saying that each clan is different, and so demotion can happen to any good clan member for what ever reason.
As for your first post op, talk to the leader. Just say something to him/her about it. You could be surprised with the response. They could be just busy with life outside of clash and may not have all the time in the world to chat at that point when it's time to War.
My husband is the same. He is super busy with work and errands (work related errands) and leaves the chat work to me. Being the co, I don't know if their is a problem with a fellow elder or member unless they say something and I usually respond and they tell me their problem. I sort it out and they say they thought they were a problem but when I said they are not a problem they sigh in relief. And from that point on we have been working with certain members since. Making sure we add a more positive influence rather than a non-response clan.
Just say something, they probably are not aware of how you are feeling.
EDIT: Lol I said who you are feeling instead of how you are feeling hahaha. Thought I might leave that there as an exposed edit![]()
Bottom line is, do what will be the most fun. If people who take wars and 3 stars too seriously aren't fun, then leave. I'd explain why to them first, maybe they will ease up on the pressure and then you could stay, but if you simply aren't having fun in that clan then leave. Simple as that.
I know that when we get some clan that doesn't try at all and have horrible base designs and can't attack and are no challenge I get super bored. Some pf my clanmates are like "but dood, its like a free loot bonus" yeah well I don't war for loot if I wanted loot I'd farm. I war for the thrill and the challenge.

Life is like drawing without an eraser. If you screw up, you have to make the best of it

I've been in clans like that. War isn't fun, it's a job. They expect skitch diagrams, and hours of planning for each attack. I'm someone who will spend hours planning my attacks, but don't like the pressure of a must 3 star or fall on a sword.
All they talk about is war attacks and it gets a little overwhelming. Constant war etc, just gets to feel like a high pressure job or like I felt in school when a big project was due. I love the strategy of it all, but it is a game and it can feel like to much work if you are in the wrong clan.
That's why I'm the leader of a clan. We are almost level 6. We win 90% of our wars, but it's very relaxed. Two star on a th9 is fine, but we have our 3 star people who make the difference. We war twice a week and it keeps it fun, as you get a break and start to get excited to war again.
My clan is NewArmy. Stop by if you want, sounds like you would be a perfect match.
It's just a game if you are not enjoying it were you are then let them know you need a break and go try out some other clans. Maybe check the need members here.
Surprised you weren't kicked. It should be perform or get kicked if they are good.
As to the question I suppose you could make up some excuse and tell them how it's getting a bit too stressful for you to manage real life with this bla bla bla and leave on good terms. Now you have a good war clan that is willing to welcome you back but also have the option to go to another war clan while keeping the first ones happy.
