    The exact XP for different structures is based only on the time required to complete the upgrade and has no correlation to the cost in resources.

    For example, a level 8 tesla costs 5 mil and earns 1099 XP, while a level 3 inferno tower costs 8 mil, but earns the same exact experience as a level 8 tesla. The reason being that they both take 14 days to complete the upgrade and has nothing to do with the resource cost.

    And yes, I know currently XP is based on time to upgrade. I don't think that makes much sense.

    I always liked the idea of upgrades giving XP regardless of what they are
    This is a minor amount in the grand scheme of things, and its not like level really means anything...

    The formula for building generated XP is pretty basic.
    Its the square root of the time in seconds it takes to happen.
    14 days X 24 hours X 60 minutes X 60 seconds = 1,209,600 seconds
    the root of which is 1099 (it always rounds down)

    If ALL time was counted as XP
    Max heroes would be 27,024XP each
    Max Laboratory would be 72,166XP
    Total 126,214

    For a player at level 150 that would be another 16 levels, plus whatever walls formula

    (for me from my not max I would go from L163 to L177 with L30/35, two haste spells to go and a mix of L9/10 walls)

    U don't have to wait for a wall to finish upgrade. So no exp. exp is based on how long a building take to finish upgrade.

    I was more surprised heroes dont give you XP. After all, they require a builder and time...

    EXP doesn't mean anything in this game anyway, as far as you can get it by donating. In the end, you can see TH9 who are lvl 200 while a maxed TH10, even with max walls, could be lvl 120. What's the point ?

    Ideally, they should review it in such a way that the lvl really represents the point a player has reached in the game, and going this direction, walls should of course give your exp, while donation should not.

    Maybe they should add something in the player profile such as a "weight" which would be calculated in the same way as your village's position is calculated for CW, this would be a lot more useful than the current lvl.

    Yes,
    XP lvl is not a way to show how much the player have progressed in the game but they aren't meaningless IMO. XP level show much time you spend playing, whether by donating, attacking, farming etc....

    Adding something like base level will be very nice which shows the real strength of the base would be very nice.

    What If...

    in this "big update" coming in ClashCon, we get an overall base rating system - and wall progression would contribute to this rating.

    Say from "Friendly" to "Life Threatening" to "Hot D@#N!!"

    There could also be a rating inside the TH level, meaning you could have the scariest rating as a maxed TH6 or TH10.

    It would be an easy way to eyeball your competition in the clan war lineup.
