When I'm not on the clan war map I can't know if an attack is beeing done. As there is an " ! " icon that prevent that an attack is in progress on war map, i think the same icon can apear over clan war icon when i'm not on the war map, so i can enter and see the attack on live.
Two colors will be also a good idea, green if its my clan who attacks, red if its the enemie who attacks.

Nowadays, watching war attacks on real time is one of the interestings things on clan wars. Sometimes you are waiting your friend to make an attack, but he didnt start and then someone ask for some troops and you go out the map to produce those troops and when you go back attack had started and its too late to see it on live
That's why an advertise icon will be interesting
