Do I need to max my walls before going to TH9?

I am mid TH8 with all splash damages maxed and point defences at lvl 9. My teslas are at lvl 5, one going to lvl 6 in order to protect my de. Anyways, my walls are 59 skulls and the rest are purple.

All my troops are maxed except for the following:
- Wall Breakers Lvl 3
- Healers Lvl 1
- PEKKA Lvl 1
- Dragons Lvl 2 (4 more days to lvl 3)
- Golems
- Minions Level 2

Spells:
- Light Lvl 4
- Rage Lvl 3
- Poison Lvl 1
- EQ Lvl 1

So what do you think guys? I have rather decent farming speed and my 5 workers has been having sore eyes (due to lack of sleep) through the whole of my COC journey. I personally feel that walls do not need to be maxed as I have a friend who is a TH10 and wins all defenses in champs with his walls only lvl 7 and his core lvl 8 and 9.

you dont NEED too, but its obviously more beneficial to have higher level walls, it would also be a good idea to get your pekka and golem up, they're great for war, assuming you war that is.

Absolutely not! Never listen to anyone who says "MAX TH8 completely."

Once your elixir storages are overflowing and you have 6 million elixir and nothing to do with it, upgrade. Maxing TH8 walls takes a lot longer than the lab and it would be more beneficial if you moved on to TH9 to start the major wall/hero grind than wait at TH8 to max walls that you can easily do a TH9.

I managed to do 75% of my walls at TH8, but I got the rest of them up to level 8 within 2 weeks because I could input my gold into them while the excess elixir went into level 9 walls.

Nope, you don't need to. As someone said, having overflowing elixir isn't clever. That elixir can be used at th9

you should definitely upgrade your pekkas, wbs, and your elixir spells to max though as a minimum, preferably everything you can with elixir. I'd also do golems and minions to max (for th8 of course).

Max your lab escpically wall breakers once that's finished its your choice

More important than the walls would be to max those resource and army buildings. You are not even max TH7 on the barracks or collectors/mines. You are giving away essentially free hitpoints whenever someone attacks you. Making it easier for them to 3 star you. Those upgrades are relatively cheap, too.

Having a few walls to do wasn't the end of the world for me when I went to TH9.

You still have a lot of troops to upgrade that are useful for Town Hall level 9 in farming, pushing, and warring. I think you might max walls before completing your Labratory so I think you should max walls and once you do, then feel free to move to Town Hall level 9.

You'll want to max everything except maybe dark troops. Loot is a bit harder to get at TH9, so just do it now. You won't regret it.

Since there are still troops to upgrade and many structures to use builders on, then you should stay and max as much as you can.

I wouldn't worry about the walls until you do a lot more work. You have a lot of elixir expenses still to be done so it's not like you are sitting on full resources with nothing to spend it on.
