Does anyone else ever "Thank" those who snipe/shield them?

Just curious if there are other clashers out there who will "thank" others for shielding them when you're laden with loot.

For example, when I'm farming in lower leagues and don't care about my trophy count, if I have full storages that could attract a beast TH10 to come and take it all, I love the lowly TH8 that comes by and snipes me 10 minutes after I log off (note, I'm a mid-max TH9, 180+ lego's and 19/17 AQ/BK, everything else maxed).

Once I'm ready to raid again, I'll try and take a revenge attack against the guy, and if I can get in (which is rare), I'll just drop my barb king, rage him, and then immediately surrender. It's just my king shouting "thanks for the shield mate, here's 20 free trophies."

This just amuses me so much, and I often wonder if the people I "thank" realize what I'm doing. Anyone else out there as crazy as I am?

Sometimes I join their clans saying thank you and offering to set up free cups/ a free snipe depending on the situation.

If one were to snipe me, I would snipe them back as a form of thanks. Else if their TH is not exposed, I leave them alone, even if they have loot. It's a karma thing, plus want to encourage people to snipe, not discourage.

I don't get how so many players are promoting snipes... It's very bad for loot and for the game in general. I wonder if this is TH specific. Back in the days, sniping was made fun of and discouraged..

There has been some times where I was very grateful when someone sniped me...such as when I have a war donation in my cc that I haven't used yet or a stash of loot I'm saving for an upcoming upgrade. Thanks town hall snipers! Ur awesome!

"Thank" them for playing a game? Nope i would never thanked anyone for playing a game.

I go through my revenge list at least twice a day, and will snipe anyone who sniped me first. If their TH is protected I will usually just leave them alone. It's very rare that I will attack them after a snipe.

Same here, except.... If they aren't happy with the basically free trophies and league bonus, and do the 5-6-7 archers also sniping collectors, I repay them with 3-stars getting my loot back

I tried to thank someone today by randomly clicking everyone on my revenge list.. I had a full TH9 loonion army trained and some newer 8 had a lot of loot, it really sucked to be him.

"Back in the day" this isn't 2012, and how is sniping bad for loot? The person can automatically break it, and the sniper gets a bonus. How is it bad for the game in general? I'd like to hear that answer.

I think the easy 180K Gold & elixir and 1.2K DE is thanks enough.
