You can play this game slowly. I do, I may do 2 or 3 attacks per day, including clan war attacks. More on the weekends.

In two years I'm a th 10 with 25/27 heroes. I'm not sure why everyone is in such a rush.

It is true that the more time you spend raiding, the faster you will progress in the game. Of course, there is a limit to how fast you can progress (unless you're using gems to finish upgrades) because of the builder and lab time, but you can continue spending your resources if you leave a builder free to upgrade walls while the other builders and lab are busy.

But that doesn't mean you have to spend hours upon hours at a time just to make any progress at TH8 and beyond. As long as you increase your resources more than is lost to people that raid you, or as long as you have a builder or the lab working, you are progressing.

Most upgrades at TH8 are pretty cheap (not much more than 1-2 mil). You can play pretty casually and still keep builders busy and do lab upgrades at TH8. If you continue to play that casually at TH9+, you'll have idle builders and an idle lab in between upgrades while saving up for the next one, but you can still progress, albeit rather slowly compared to TH8. It's the walls (and heroes) that will be the biggest grind. You may decide to just leave them at level 7 or so like many casual players, which is fine if you aren't that serious anyway about the game.

The point is, yes, you can still play the game casually at TH8+. The progress just slows down the higher you get.

I have a few accts. what I can say is this game more than any other I have played recently is one of those that "you get out what you put in"

and it goes further, because you can compensate for time if you farm in a higher league with a bigger army (longer cook time and DPS, no. of spells used etc) if you have less time, and get the same effect (by winning/defending in M3 or higher for example) so you can loonion/GoWiXx a few times a day and hit some big scores and fill your storages on your own time factoring in your loot bonus for wins.

if you have more time to play you can use a cheaper, faster building army in a lower league and raid more often on easier targets for lower loot scores per raid.

TH8 is the start of loot penalty and it effects, TH9~10 is even more 'pressure' since things take more time/loot to upgrade and plan and balance as far as lab and builder project time line. but its all manageable easily IMO.

more is better, but less is not "worse" necessarily if you know how to strategize to maximize your time while you are on.

As a TH9 I do just fine with about 6-8 loonions a day.
