And this is a forum where we discuss about "the game". No forum will ever be complaint free. For those who despise complaints in this forum...I've got news for u...ur at the wrong place.

Got kicked out for refusing to buy tasks

I tried to join a more active neighborhood & was told they only took tasks 320 or higher & I was required to buy extra tasks or leave. I told them I'm level 98 & always take the highest tasks available but will not be using diamonds for the derby. I reported them when they told me to leave & they kicked me out. I looked on the "Looking to Join A Neighborhood" thread & there's apparently a lot of those types out there!

Youre correct ...this is a game. Good observation.

Step back a decade and this sort of game would be limited to a PC and more people today have access to gaming in a fairly convenient manner. I still would class games played on iPad fairly new technology, although technology tends to improve fairly fast these days. I was comparing how technology has provided insight to improving a number of areas...be in medical, gaming, business etc. Without constant improving and testing and pushing the boundaries we wouldn't be where we are today. It an analogy to compare how technology has advanced in such a short period of time.

Whether that's good or bad only time will tell.

Back to to the point of the derby, the changes made have been good but some have not. I have noticed SC make changes without any thought into how it may affect players. There are certainly better ways to bring about change and one is testing releases before you just dump it on unsuspecting public. Simple.
I thought charliedagg post made several valid points. You may disagree wth the points but to dismiss them as not valid is ..., well not valid

I also do not see your proof that SC does not give any thought as to how their changes would affect players. They may not have considered if you would like changes, but to dismiss tneir motives and testing methods which you have no knowledge of is, well, not valid

And you do have a valid point that changes made to a game is equal to medical breakthroughs.

Can you provide information to the contrary? I work in an industry that does this as part of my job.

Fact is that there has never been any kind of public player feedback on proposed changes. If they have private player feedback on proposed changes, they're keeping it an extremely well guarded secret.

If your task is not finished and the Derby ends then the points are not counted. You may still see the counter at the side if the screen and have to finish it because there will be no way for you to trash it anymore.

    Hope this answers your question.

Vicious cycle has gone on since derby started, complaints, tweak, complaints, tweak. It's not better then when it started, it's actually worse. It's clear by the many complaints since the derby started, that many don't think it through and will never be happy with how SC tweaks it. SC so far has tweaked however they don't think it through either, they seem to miss the important facts and leave them out of tweaking and they have not improved the derby with all these tweaks. It was far better at the start, had they listened then all they needed to do was add an opt in/opt out and all this complaining would have never been done, nor all these changes. As far the rest I'm using someone else's post to comment on the rest you said.

LOL, cause some like to act as if this game is real, life and death situations.

I have not been one who despises complaints in the forum, actually if you look through my postings, I have gone around and around with the ones who do despise complaints in the forum.

What I'm despising is not even people complaining, it's the constant cycle we have been in since derby started, complaints, tweak, complaints, tweak. It's not working, the derby is not any better. The complaints come before the new tweak is even given a chance, the complaints are most often not thought out, often minor and it's pretty clear that some regardless of how it is changed will not be happy. It's also clear SC takes the complaints, tweaks to shut complainers up but never thinks the tweaks through.

My point to posting about stop complaining, was it's not getting anywhere currently. Maybe if we all stop for a second, and come up with a well thought out tweak, that players are gonna need to compromise on a bit and not get everything they want, as others players have their own ideas to, we might get somewhere with SC better. Stop the cycle of complaining, tweaking, complaining tweaking. Although at this point not sure we can get SC to now make a decent derby, I think they have been shown that the derby by many players is a cash cow for SC, so we might now be stuck with a diamond sucking derby.

Hope I made this make sense better then my first attempt. I'm just thinking there has to be a better way to get changes right, instead of changes once a month, every month, that have rarely made the derby for the better.

U've been here long enough to know the vicious cycle of complaints on this forum will never end. It doesn't matter if u tell them to stop complaining or not...complaints will pour in every single day. What's the point of complaining about them? It's like telling the waves of the ocean to stop crashing on the beach. It's a lost cause. The derby has been a fun aspect of the game for most, most of the complaints is to make it right...fix what needs to be fixed, patch what needs to be patched. If we sit on our behinds and accept things the way they are, there will never be any improvements. I don't know about u but I like to see this game evolve and improve.

This is a public forum where debates are the norm. We all post here because we are all passionate about this game. Yea, it's only a game, but we care about it enough to make our voices heard. We can complain til our hearts' content, but at the end of the day, any tweaks made by SC is ultimately SC's decision. Test the tweaks better on their end and maybe some of these complaints so many of u dislike will be reduced. But if u want ALL complaints to magically vanish, I'm sorry...it's not going to happen.
