Question Derby 'ch♥♥ting' or something I don't know?

Just a quick question - I am in a 2 person NH and this week we went up to 'expert' level. Less than 2 hours after the derby started, 1 NH had 16 x 320 tasks done!! Is this even possible without some kind of 'help'. I realise that using diamonds may speed up getting tasks, but how do 2 people actually get 16 x 320 tasks on the board within 2 hours, let alone complete them. Anyone with answers out there? I would add that we have only had 6 tasks in the last 3 days at 320.

    Thanks in advance.

They probably have an endless supply of diamonds to continually trash everything they don't want so assume they are predominantly doing mine tasks along with townies who are ready and waiting with their gifts. If this isn't the case then I sure would like to know their secret

This is grotesque, thanks for providing a great example of diamonds ruining the derby.

I'd be interested to know what the chances are of coming up against such a hood. Is it a case of occasional meets or a case of weekly inevitable drubbings? The first is bearable and fair enough. The latter is soul destroying.

I hope the Hay Day team is monitoring that side of it.

Enable diamond confirmation in settings --- but beware: it only works in some places!

I also hope that SC is monitoring this type of play. I understand that diamond purchase and use helps them, but the OVERUSE, almost abuse will eventually hurt them.

Maybe they can match the NHs that use this type of "strategy" together and let them sort it out. (Now that would be fun to watch!).

I could have wrote your post. We are in the same situation. This is the second time it has happened in two weeks. I just assumed they were spending diamonds doing boat after boat, since that is the most common task that comes up. I don't mind spending diamonds, but what these teams are doing is way over-the-top. How desperate are they to be number one. They had finished all of their tasks by Wednesday morning. I can't speak for anyone else, but this does not make me want to compete using diamonds. It just makes me say to myself why bother. Our two person NH is thinking of opting out next week.

    urgency to win is ridiculous

I am in a group of 4 farms and the leaders we are up against have done a total of 32 tasks already. Each NH has 7 tasks for each farm to complete so the ones in 1st place have obviously all done an extra diamond task each. The NH in second place only appear to have done 15 tasks in total so there is absolutely no pressure for anyone to do extra tasks at this stage.

Teams that do this sort of thing then take to fun out of the Derby because everyone gets demoralised. Extra diamond tasks should be abolished completely, and certainly for teams getting all tasks done so quickly should be investigated by SC. It looks like there is something very unusual happening for sure.

Nooo!! Don't opt out!! Why allow someone else's playstyle to affect yours? Especially if it has no real effect on your farm. Sure, winning is great, but you 'win' each time you reach a horseshoe. If you keep playing and focus on reaching the horseshoes, you'll still get items you need/want or items you can sell to make money. Granted, you can't reach ALL the horseshoes, but that's ok. We've done this and we are surprisingly happy with it. I don't look at the competition much because they don't matter to me. My focus is trying to help my hoodies to get as many horseshoes as we can. If one extra task gets us that last shoe, I'll go for it but other than that, no diamond spending for us. AND, we talk about our prizes and if my hoodmate needs the two panels in my 2nd column and I need the 2 tapes in her 3rd column...we swap!

I think the 90/10 rule applies to everything...including Hay Day. It's 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react. Don't let someone have enough control that they take the fun out of your game. I hope y'all decide to derby next week and I hope you get some amazing prizes!

We were in the professional league last week. Woke up to a few teams at 960 pts at the start of the derby. They finished the derby in 2-3 days. We decided early on that derby was already a lost cause. There was no way for us to remotely compete without speeding up boats and trashing tasks with diamonds. We don't mind some back and forth action which requires a 7th task to compete but when the competition was already so far ahead, it really was pointless to even try. We decided to purposely place bottom 3 so we can get demoted to novice league. The competition in novice league is at least even...no teams are blazing ahead with diamonds. I can't imagine how stiff the competition is in higher leagues.

If the competition is too much for u to handle, place bottom 3, get demoted to a lower league and derby on with lesser competition
