    It's the classic participation award.

Without it war clans who don't have great win records may quit all together. At least with this they can walk away with something to help their clan.

More clans trying to war the faster matchmaking is.

If SC rewarded winners only, this will encourage a more competitive environment which would see more casual players sidelined from clan wars, or even turn people off from clan wars altogether, which would result in exclusion.

Once you create a system which alienates/excludes players/clans you will most likely see a decline in participation rate and therefore theoretically a decline in revenue.

Also factor in the competitive scene encourages unscrupulous tactics which is not everyone's cup of tea, and I don't think people need extra incentives to engage in these sorts of tactics.
but it would make high leveled clan much more special

I agree that you should still get EXP for losing, but I think the gap between winning and losing should be more than 50EXP.

Well I suppose if we eliminated xp for the clan which loses, war could turn into a bunch of 10 v 10s where every clan has 5 max TH10s and 5 Th4s to draw a mid-level opponent. Large wars take considerably more effort on the part of the leaders (if you want to have success) and like anything, the draw you end up with by and large determines the outcome. And yes, for whatever reason, members get very dissatisfied when you put up red in the war log... even if your opponent has 20 lvl 40 hero sets compared to your 5.

    Just won a 50 v 50 against a lvl 8 clan, so no, I'm good

    Banked 230xp.

It's just that there are times when wars really aren't winnable. Maybe at your level, you haven't been in a clan where you are matched against 20 max TH10 with max heroes vs your 5 with max heroes. Real mismatches do occur and in my experience, they occur much more often in heavier wars than they did when we were just a mid-sized clan.

Simple. Then the bad clans would complain even more.

Yes, this has always been a head scratcher for me. There have been times where we beat a clan by 30 stars, outcome never in doubt- and at the end the difference in XP was 50, 60?

Rewarding 0 xp would be as about as bad as your grammar.

Why stop there? Why not make any loss make you lose xp? Probably because exclusive systems don't sell as well. There's game when you get killed you lose everything. The game is casual. Army camps being destroyed used to make you lose your whole army. Few people would actually be into things like that.
