Imo if coc din release war update this game should be dying. War bring the competition back. But if your clan enjoy farming/pushing and dislike war, you can always give the war a miss. What matters most is enjoy!

Yep, there is no downside to Supercell allocating clan XP to non-warring clans based on things like member rank at the end of seasons, total # of clan donations, etc. It could be a trickle of XP, but would make a serious difference. As a matter of fact, it would motivate people to move up in trophy count reducing time spent "in the clouds" at the top leagues if clan XP was doled out for high ranking members.
It would allow non-warring or not-super-serious-warring clans to continue to grow/progress. And the beastly, "always war, failure is not an option" clans would just gain clan ranks even faster. There is no downside to this. Maybe I'll have to go post this in the "Ideas/features" sub forum![]()
CW is probably the single biggest game changing update to date, even greater than TH9 and 10 updates. Clan perks absolutely put a greater emphasis on CW, my clan went from taking everyothet day off in wars to back to back wars when perks came around. We are by no means an elite war clan but I would consider us a serious war clan. That doesn't mean every clan that wants xp has to become a serious war clan.
One solution for non-war clans to earn perks relatively quickly is essentially war farm for xp. Opt in all members, start wars back to back but simply ask everyone to one star their mirror, with barch or what have you, and collect all the base xp each war. You wont get the war win xp but you also dont spend much on troops. Anyone that wants to practice attack bases after that or farm fpr loot obviously could.
I mostly hope SC doesn't forget the three types of players.
Trophy pushers, titans and legends seems to target them, yet I think there is still too much of a cloud effect to catch on
War players, the tournament mode seems to be a good thing for those

And to those mentioning the korean, nordic , etc tournament ... I didn't watch because I wasn't interested. It's not like watching hockey on the TV you know. For me it's like watching a Magic the Gathering competition live ... woohoo ...

I joined clash because my friend showed me clan wars, and well it's really hard for me to see people that don't war. I do think that they put too much emphasis on war at the moment, but at the same time where else can they put new features in?
