Hi,
I've been playing for almost 3 years now. Most old players know that at first this was mostly an individual game. yes we were in a clan to exchange troops and discuss while waiting for your troops to cook. But the goal was mostly individual. Only a few clans dared to be in the top 200 clan ranking.
When Clan wars came it was a wonderful new thing in the game. We could team up and win against an other team. This broke a few clans, cleaned up a few others. But clan wars was still optional.
Then came perks. Now clan war is not optional anymore. It's even mandatory if you want your clan to be popular. When we became level 5, it was a huge change in our clan. People asking for maxed troops could now receive from almost anybody in the clan since 90% of our players are Th9+. Still optional but there are serious incentive for doing wars often.
Now new things might be coming for war too (tournaments). But is this game all about wars now? Does multiplayer have no other purpose than farming and pushing for the few that still like that?
I'm worried that this game is concentrating too much resources in wars. Mostly because 50% of my clan don't care that much about war or perks anyway. Not everybody is of competitive nature.
I'm on and off in wars because I sometime like to concentrate on my bases and war is more of a distraction to me some times. War is fun. But I didn't install clash for team competition 90% of the time.
