    We have gone retro😃

I am a level 82 player, Had a wonderful community, The Derby cost me that community. Right now I am in a smaller group, But would like to throw out some ideas. If you want to be at the top of all Derbys then it will happen that you will have to do 320 pt tickets plus 10 a week. Which costs diamonds. You will be limited on which tasks to take at 320 mostly boats. Very boring or very hard crop tickets and such. Some are using diamonds to speed up the boats which costs 5 diamonds each time. The fun factor has just gone out of playing Hay Day. Also lower level players have such a disadvantage. Because I have been playing Hay Day for over a year and a half I thought to myself Are the prizes we are getting worth all the diamonds we are spending and the answer is no. So I have decided to go retro and play the game as it was before the derby started. That way we can play as we want, making wonderful friends, working my town again and not have people waiting around for a week waiting for a train task. Then I could look forward to the events. When I made this decision a huge weight was lifted. I know some won't agree with my decision but I wanted it to be fun again. Would love to hear from other teams that are like minded.

That's what I've done. I've opted out of the Derby and am farming the way I did before it was introduced. There is one difference, though. I hesitate to ask my neighbors for help with boats because I don't want to deplete NH resources that might be needed for a Derby task. The Derby casts a shadow even on those of us who have opted out.

why don't you just leave that for each player to decide?
I have continued to fill boat crates as I did before the derby came along, for most of my friends.
The only difference is: I may fill crates I normally wouldn't (sugar, dairy, lobster/fish) for a hood mate that is doing a boat task.

    Hey! No poaching our Mini!

I have also opted out because the thought of an ever increasing number of tasks was just the last straw. It is such a relief to just farm without the stress of the derby. I have flagged crates during this derby, but I always offer a premium item or two in my RSS for anyone who fills a crate, so don't feel any guilt at all. On the whole, I fill more crates for others than they do for me, and I am always happy to help anyone - so flag those crates, Mini.
