Attacking in war without heroes TH9

What is the best attack to two star or three star other th9s in war without any heroes? Assume sitting out of war and taking lower bases/clean up is not an option. I'm thinking pentalaloon but no one seems to be giving me an answer, and I've heard pentalaloon is REALLY hard since the second air sweeper update. Gohowiwi and Golowiwi I feel would be significantly weakened without the heroes aiding in the Gowiwi portion, and GoHo and GoLaLoon would be significantly weakened during the Go portion. The same goes clearly for GoWiWi and GoWiWiPe.

Edit: I cannot get any troops above th8 in my cc, and I want to do a laloon variation but don't know what my army should be without a hound in my CC. Also, sitting out isn't an option so if you're just gonna say to sit out, don't.

You have to take out the AQ at TH9 to 3 star almost every time. Pentaloon used to work on certain bases, but not sure the minions, even after the agro changes, will kill the AQ like they used to.

Really, attacking at TH9 without heroes, you are hoping to get 2 stars. If you can take out the AQ/cc somehow, then you can lavaloon, otherwise, gem or sit out. I wouldn't let one of my TH9s attack without heroes, it would be a wasted spot, you are a burden on your clan like that.

@OP: I would have to agree with this guy though... Without heroes you can't expect to consistently get 2-3 stars on TH9s of equal strength in war. If I had to suggest an army I would say GoWiPe, but that won't get a 3* and a 2* won't be super easy. Best of luck.

Heroes do about a third of the damage on any TH9 attack and it is impossible to go against a decent base and expect to three-star without the use of heroes.

2-stars would be possible, but tricky still.

Don't expect a 3 star if you have no heroes. Defense is balanced around their existence and participation (which is why they should be available while upgrading )

Like others have said, heroes are the foundation for your war offense at TH9. Without them, your offense is handicapped. Your best bet for war if you have no heroes is to opt out.

My heroes are currently only at 15/10 and its gonna take 4 months to upgrade them both to max, and thats with both upgrading at the same time. Surely there must be a way for me to max out my heroes without waiting forever and not have to sit out of war for so many months. If three star is impossible, I could GoWipe or PentaLaloon for two stars then?

Gowipe or Gowiwi...Pentaloon isn't a very good 2 star strategy. It's far more likely to be 1 or 3.
