Lightbulb Support your largest troops with the SHAMAN!

Hello everyone! Welcome to my newest troop concept, the Shaman. Throughout this thread, I'll go into tons of detail to make sure you know how this troop works and how this will affect the game. You'll also get to see offensive and defensive strategies including this unit, and some example stats.

Beware, this thread is long! For those of you that have to time to read this thread, I thank you.

And now, let's get to Shaman!

    Table of Contents
    I. Description
    II. Summary
    III. Attacking Strategies
    IV. Army Compositions
    V. Defensive Strategies
    VI. Statistics
VII. Trivia and Frequently Asked Questions
    VIII. Conclusion

    Description
Shaman is an ancient person who can exchange health and power between creatures.

    Summary
✔ Shaman stabs his pole to ground what creates a magical spell, that absorbs hitpoints from buildings and enemy units standing in the spell and heals one ally with the amount of absorbed hitpoints.
✔ Shaman choose the ally to heal when you deploy him. He chooses the closest ally to him.
✔ Shaman aims a building, come closer until he is 3 tiles away from it and then starts absorbing HPs from all buildings in 5 tiles range.
✔ Shaman heals the ally from anywhere, also if the ally is on the other side of base.
✔ If Shaman dies in the absorbing process, his pole stays active until affected buildings and units are destroyed.
✔ This unit is unlocked at Dark Barracks level 8 and Town Hall level 10.

What kind of strategies this unit would enable
✔ Drop the Shaman next to your heroes or tank troops.
✔ Shaman hasn't got high health as Healer, so be sure you deployed him safely.
✔ Use Shaman to destroy enemy reinforcements by creating the draining spell which stays active also when he dies, so enemy units in its range won't survive.

    Army compositions including this unit
✔ GoShaKKA (Golem+Shaman+PEKKA): Drop the Golem at first, then deploy one Shaman behind to support him. Then deploy PEKKAs with Shamans, in 1:1 ratio, so each PEKKA has its own healing buddy. Don't forget to take also some Wall breakers to the battle!
✔ RoyalShaman (Shaman+Heroes): Drop heroes at first and then all Shamans. Take some Clean Up troops too.

How to redo your base to protect from this unit
✔ Leave some space left between walls and buildings so Shaman's range can't reach the building.
✔ Put Balloons to your Clan castle, cause they can destroy the healed unit easily and then also Shaman.
✔ Place your Spring traps smartly.

    Statistics
    ✔ Preferred target: None
✔ Attack type: Area splash 5 tile radius (Ground)
    ✔ Heal type: Single target
    ✔ Housing space: 14
    ✔ Training time: 15 minutes
    ✔ Movement speed: 18
✔ Attack speed: (works like single-target Inferno tower) Time to absorb total 100% of any building health is 10 seconds.
✔ Dark Barracks level required: 8
✔ Cost to upgrade Dark Barracks: 4,750,000 elixir and 10 days

Level HP absorb HP heal Hitpoints Training cost (DE) Research cost (DE) Laboratory level required Research time
    1 5% of total building's health 20% of total health absorbed 240 110 N/A N/A N/A
    2 7% 25% 300 140 70 000 8 8 days

    Trivia and Frequently Asked Questions
✔ Shaman can't absorb HP from walls.
✔ Shaman doesn't affect troops, only buildings.
✔ If Shaman dies in the absorbing process, his pole stays active until affected buildings are destroyed.
✔ Shaman heals the chosen ally also if that troop is on the other side of base.
✔ If the troop Shaman is healing die, he will choose another one.
✔ If there's no ally Shaman can heal, he will only drain HPs without healing.

Thank you so much for reading this thread and troop idea! If you read all of it, I really appreciate it as it took quite some time to finalize all of this.

SuperCell is a great company and always takes into account people's suggestions, so I believe if this thread gets enough support the Shaman could end up in the game. I would love to hear what Supercell thinks about this idea!

Here is how you can help! I'd love to hear your comments, opinions, suggestions, and questions as I can always improve upon this idea. Here are some things that would be great to comment on:

✔ Suggestions to make this troop more balanced
✔ Ideas you have for strategies this could enable
✔ Ideas you have for setting up your base to defend from this unit
    ✔ Description suggestions
✔ Questions about how this troop works
✔ Explain why you do or don't like this troop

If you like this idea, tell your friends! Your Clanmates! That is how you can get SC to see this idea.

Thanks for reading and happy clashing, everyone!

Try to remember not to quote the main post when you reply if it is a big long post like this one. It just takes up a lot of space, and is annoying to scroll through it all again to read your post.

Now, on to the topic. Its nicely thought out and well detailed, and doesn't seem too OP. Only thing I would change is that if the shaman dies the pole doesn't stay in effect. That does seem a bit OP. I like how spring traps work on it, that's a nice touch.

    Overall, nice idea.

Life is like drawing without an eraser. If you screw up, you have to make the best of it

I think it's good for the troop, that the pole stays until affected buildings are destroyed, cause if you just deployed the Shaman, he started to heal... but died immediately. - This is good on it.

true but still a little lets not say OP just a little too good for maybe even TH9s, Its good it does not stay on the battle field that long for the most, but again even if it might take long it should for a while until something new that's big for the next level of coc

I don't think it's original or even if it's, it's very similar to healer... You need to give some special ability to it... Something unique

Yes, the special/unique ability of Shaman is only draining health, maybe it shall do more. Please help me with Shaman in Idea-Lab.
