If you do anything at th8, make it be all dark troops and king, i feel you could go to th9 with anything else left because you wouldnt really have much left!
Im th9 and getting dark is number 1 for heros and troops, everything else just fills my storages all the time, cant keep builders busy enough and dumping loot on walls

Yes, go for it. I rushed to th9 about 2 weeks ago, reached it around 4 days ago and its the best thing I did, I can now dump all of my loot in walls and heroes, so I dont ever get raided even thought I have some th7 max defenses, and now I can just sit back and farm a lot for walls and upgrades without losing 300k/300k 2kde each time I log off.
But if you do go for th9 make sure to grind those purple walls on these 10 days, get at least 70% done. Its quite easy actually, I'm a 4 day old Th9 and already have 30 legos and rest skulls
Ok if u read his post you would see that he is not an active player like you are. You are one of the no life farmers for whom rushing sort of works. If he goes to th9 it will make him want to quit the game. He will get smashed by other th9s and never be able to get loot with his weak troops.Originally Posted by Stacheski

Telling him to "spend it all before you log off" only works if u farm millions in a session. From his post he clearly won't be that active...
TH9 IS NOT FOR THE CASUAL PLAYERS (well mostly)

Who cares if he's not active? If he upgrades now and have at least 70% skulls when he reaches th9 he will not be rushed (a lot), his base already has a lot of good defenses and if he stays on th8 he will for sure get pounded for his 300k elixir every damn time, also for his dark elixir because he wont have a way to dump it, laboratory time on th8 takes too long, once you have surplus of elixir and at least some skulls done you can definetely go for th9, yes you will be pounded by th10, but you will be able to pound those th8 with level 6 giants, which is awesome and its worth if you can raid at least 3 times in a days (gibarch take like 20 minutes to cook, if he cant cook his troops, log back on, raid a th8 and leave, then he might aswell stop playing untill he can play some more).
On my main account I maxed everything at TH8 and I didn't regret it. What's nice about this is when you get to TH9 you can worry about TH9 upgrades and not "catching up".
You still have things you can spend elixir, gold and dark on so keep spending it at your current TH level.
On my mini where I rarely raid I just upgraded to 9 because I had nothing left to spend elixir or DE on.

Not rushing to TH9 was a stupid mistake for me...
But you are rushing too early. Don't max out everything, but you want at least 50-75% skull walls or you'll never get legos and lavas.
Get 50% skulls so at TH9 you can start working on legos and finish skulls. Also, max King and Golem IMHO. GL!

all jokes aside, you have to get your golem and King leveled up. If you can't do them at TH8- what are you going to do at TH9 when you have an AQ begging for dark, and new troop levels to deal with. Like many say- its your game so play how you enjoy, but you have all the earmarks of a "TH9/purple walls/weak troops" guy. If you like to war- having your maxed defenses and weak troops is the exact opposite of what you want. Are XBows on your radar? That would be the nail in the coffin.

Max your troops, then move up. You will need endless DE at th9, don't go in needing to do golems to level 2 etc.. Your lab will be busy as it is, without adding th8 troops to that list.
