    Confused about 'total destruction'?

What exactly is this stat? It's not avg destruction on base, it's not avg stars on base and it isn't how many bases you have 3 starred either.

I can't quite work out what it is? Forgive me if I'm missing the obvious, but I don't understand.

Our avg destruction on a base for example is 81%

    whereas total is 58%

we have 35 stars out of 23/50 attacks

    9 3 stars
    2 2 stars
    4 1 stars?

It's the total amount of destruction your clan has done, it all adds up into a percentage at the end which is used to choose a winner between ties.

Go to clan war page, my clan, defenses. Adding all percentage of "enemy best attack", divide that number by total base you have in war, that's enemy's total destruction. Divide that number by the number of base enemy has attacked, that's enemy's average destruction.

It takes the percent of damage from the best attack from each base and and averages them. If a base isn't attacked it calculates it as 0%. So if your #2 attacks enemy #2 and gets 2 stars and 51%, then your #3 attacks the same person and gets 2 stars and 64%, only the 64% counts.

How much of the enemy's base is gone, destroyed, shattered, broke down.

Keep in mind, average destruction only counts attacks that have been made, even if they are on the same base, but bases that haven't been hit don't count towards the end result. In total destruction, bases that haven't been attacked will lower the total.

The big difference between "average" and "total" is the first counts attacks - it's the average destruction from every attack. The latter counts targets. Any target that hasn't been attacked is included as a 0 in the calculation, and only the 'clan best attack' on each target is counted.

Average destruction is based on the attacks that have been made so far.

Total Destruction takes the percentage of destruction of each best attack on the base, divides that by the number of bases per side in the war. in a 10v10 war each base counts as 10% of the total destruction, or 100/# bases in the war.

for your war 25v25 (I am assuming it is based on number of attacks)
Our avg destruction on a base for example is 81%

    whereas total is 58%

we have 35 stars out of 23/50 attacks

    9 3 stars
    2 2 stars
    4 1 stars?
Each base is worth 0% to 4% to go towards the total.

    9 3 stars = 9 (4* 100%) = 36% easy since destruction was 100%
2 2 stars = (4 * % destruction on base) + the same for each base done = total of destruction for 2 star attacks
4 1 stars = (4 * % destruction on base) + the same for each base done = total of destruction for 1 star attacks
it is the same equation with 0 star attacks if any as the destruction did occur although no stars were gained.
As mentioned while I was typing this up bases that haven't been attacked still count towards the total destruction with 0%.

I think that is how I would solve it, but I could be wrong as I hate math.

I'm not sure about the underlined part
I think it's more like "average of all best attacks but not counting unhit bases as 0%"
