Gaming The War System

Ok, so this isnt a "major" issue to me, and I dont consider it life threatening. But it does send up a major red flag for me.

My clan is currently in war with a clan with some very rushed bases. They didnt fill CCs except for a few troops here and there. 6 hours in and it seems like they are just bad at attacking. This is not the purpose of my post.

Upon scouting the top 2 TH9s that they have, number 1 and 2, I IMMEDIATELY noticed that they did not have Archer Queens or Xbows. Im like wow, this will be an EXTREMELY easy war for us with them being as rushed as they are.

Upon further investigation, just looking to see what troops they could be cooking to attack with, I noticed that both 1 and 2 have archer queens, on their base, walking around, very much real. They both also have Xbows, working, operational, not in the building process. Number 1 guy just so happens to have an AQ Lvl 9 and number 2 has AQ Lvl 3.

How in the world are they allowed to have a base in war WITHOUT buildings in their inventory in the active setup? And does this mean they can still attack with the queen? Maybe Im missing something, or might just be a noob, but its kinda shady that people can actually do this in war.

Yet, still easy win for us, but Im just concerned.

The only possible explanation is that they started building xbows and got arch queen after the prep day ended. He might have gemmed his aq to 9 and 3.

When they builded their new defenses/AQ they didn't update their war base. This seems like a really bad move, because the weight is still added to the base.

You hit the nail on the head, they most likely never updated there war base. So if you look at there active bases compared to there war you'll find all new items in there active bases aren't there. Pretty slack on there part. Smash them mate.

this is helping you, this is hurting them, in fact it is shattering them and their chances of winning...

1. everything in your farm base, everything, counts towards your war weight at the second the start war button is pressed

2. you are not REQUIRED to add new items, like that aq or those xbows to your war base, and sometimes people simply forget to do so, if you do not take the step to add them, they will not appear in the functional war base, but the penalty of their presence increasing your war weight will still exist.

true story: long, long ago, we had a th6 or 7 3 star an 80ish/odd weight th10. With 2 infernoes 3 xbows and the works, how, you ask, is this possible? Said th10 had added nothing into his war base since th5 or 6, nothing, he had 1 air defense, a 35 troop cc, and whatever small number of defenses a th5 or 6 would have.

He had it all in his farm base, nothing in his war base.
