I maxed my collectors at TH8. I moved up to TH8 with lv 8 mines and collectors and its a good thing that I did because the Lab time at TH8 is insanely long. You will have a lot of free builder time at the end of maxing defenses so it will be good if you can use them on those collectors. If your lab is idle, move to TH8, otherwise max them.
