The best strategy is springs for anti-hog. Don't put them deep put them around the first ring as they are dirt cheap to rearm. Put the GB at the bottom of the first level or near the second level. You want them to trigger only if your defenses are breached and two max on one side.

That should deal with any pesky wizard, archers, and will prevent you from going broke should he breach one side with a PEKKA. This is common sense stuff. I rarely have to pay more then 30K on traps and it's well worth it because I regularly save 5-8 million for IT and Xbows.

Hey, I am no where close to saving for larger upgrades considering I'm only a TH8, so maybe my opinion on traps may change in the future.

Regarding your description of GB placement I'm having a difficult time trying to understand it when you mention to put the GB at the bottom of the first level. But i'd gladly consider it if you explained that part.

The object of the game is to attack often and not try to defend your townhall. If you are defending your townhall then you got to accept the rearm costs. If you are not trapping your townhall or defending your townhall, you will rarely rearm and when you get a real attack, it will be worth it to not lose all your loot.

My OCD can't handle unarmed traps...they don't get set off much anyway, unless I throw my townhall inside for defensive wins

Surely a trap is only expensive if you waste it?
If you put it by you think when farming then yes its a waste of money to rearm, but if it saves you loosing all your farmed elixir or gold then its worth every penny!!!

Seriously. At my level I have full storages of gold and all builders are busy. I rearm my traps cus that is the only way to dump my loot.

I always rearm my traps but I don't do it very often because I don't get raided that much with my farming base and I don't consider it a problem, even though it costs me over 100k if I do get 3 starred. Do all you people complaining have premature bases or something?
