Try practicing GoWiPe. It's not the best for wars, but getting consistent 2 stars when pushing is okay.
Gold 2? Pretty easy, try Bam or Gibarch and aim for 50% and th snipes
You can very, very easily snipe to Crystal 3, so Gold 2 is not a problem.
