When Should a TH9 upgrade to TH10?

It's pretty tricky to comment on when should one upgrade their TH9 to TH10. It's always up to the invidual's preferences on when to upgrade their TH10.

But the safest states to move on to TH10 in my perspective are at least full legos, level 25/25 heroes, maxed TH9's defences and offences.

This i likey.

Casual player, say enjoys farming you will be fine with what you have.

If you are into wars and want to dominate, high level heroes really helps alot.



Personally i did it at 20/20 full lego but that was when point defenses are a level or two down.

Today for me safest all around account will be full lego/+ with 25/25 royals.

Im close to max th9, lv 22/23 heros, 65 lava walls the rest legos, I personally do not want to go to th10, TH9 seems more fun to war with than TH10, you actually get to 3 star opponents with good attacks, TH 10 seem close to impossible to 3 star, but i'm not there yet so I don't really know, just from what ive heard

Depending on your clan makeup and position in clan at a certain point th10s may be all you see. Since full lavas and 25/25 heroes as the normal #1 in my clan My th9 generally bring in 2 newer th10s which means basically unless I bring my th10 into the wars I never see a th9 to attack.

If you just enjoy farming and wars don't matter to you than whenever you want.

If you mainly enjoy getting three stars in wars against your equal and aren't willing to break the tos than probably never.

Th10 seems more balanced for trophy pushing than war. Play your game the way you want

I went with full lavas and bk aq at 19/21. I felt very rushed from a war perspective. If I could do my acct over again Id have gotten 30/30 heroes. War is all that matters and if you care about that part of the game max it. If you like to farm then go whenever you want.

Again, repeating my advise to all fresh TH9/TH10. Your priority is DE for Heroes. Gold & Elixir are secondary.
e.g. if you see these bases:
300k/300k/100 DE - skip/next
80/80k/1.5k+ DE - attack

In this way, rather than you max your defenses in 3 months but with low heroes, you will max the same defense in 5-6 months, but with higher (maybe not maxed) heroes.
The example scenario is like this:

Gold/Elixir priority - 3 months maxed defense. Heroes from BK10/AQ0 to 10/10 only. You need to spend additional 30 weeks (7.5 months) to get both to 25/25 (assuming 1 hero a week). Total time 10+ months to get hero to 25/25. You will get bored and start questioning in forum about the additional 7.5 months.

DE priority - 6 months maxed defense while working on hero from 10/0 to 20/20 and then spend additional 10 weeks (2.5 months) to get both to 25/25. Total time 8.5 months. You only need to spend 2.5 months grinding hero.

Anyway, my advise to OP. If you farm and war casually, just goto TH10.
If you have a very serious war clan, then better grind your heroes at TH9.
