When Should a TH9 upgrade to TH10?

I am a maxed TH9, with the exception of some lab upgrades, walls, and heroes. I plan on fully maxing TH9 with level 10 walls and level 30 heroes, but I don't know if I should. I am constantly wasting a minimum of 3 builders, as I have 5, and the most I can use at a time are 2. This is because the only structures I can upgrade are heroes. When should a TH9 upgrade to TH10? Thoughts?

(Assuming my lab was never idle during all these).

Hey Freeze,

First off I wouldn't classify you as a maxed th 9 as the only thing maxed is defences, regardless I would get all walls to level 9 and heroes to 20/20 at least before going to th 10. I would also try max lab upgrades before going on but only the troops you deem important if your so eager to goto th 10. Upgrading to th 10 before that might be a steep catch up game which isn't too much fun

No chance your lab wont be idle. Lab takes much less time than buildings and heros.

15-25 is 70 days assuming you can farm 200k+ de a week

Concerning myself i just started 10 upgrade. All defences max other than x bows, 20/20 heroes all labs and 3/4 lego walls.

Going 9.5 route till I get my offense in order.

In my opinion (war perspective)

Absolute minimum

-Heroes at least 20/20
-Walls at least all lego (lvl9)
-Relevant (to you) farming troops max, all dark troops + pekka/wiz/wb/balloon and elixir spells maxed
-Firm understanding of and ability to implement 2* and 3* war attack strategies
-Defenses maxed or close to max, with air defenses maxed long ago

Imo max lava's are a mistake. Too much cost too much weight and not enough benifit.

Unless you plan on going infernos early.

Legos and a good layout can stop any attack lavas can.

I will still be difficult to 3 yet will be weighted much less. I could max my archer towers for the weight of max lavas.

Ya I agree with this. Not really possible to do it without lab being idle though.

Any more lavas than that and war matchmaking is bad

Before you go to Town Hall level 10 I would have:

- The capability to 3 star any Town Hall level 9 base in war (if you war a lot)
- All level 10 Walls
- At least a level 20 Barbarian King & a level 20 Archer Queen

Well, The total lab upgrade time for th9 is about 200 days (assume you have maxed out everything in th8). So it really depends on your farming speed.

Anyway, my point was to make sure you maxed out all your needed troops before going to th10. Lab idle or not is not important.
